Sooo apparently this is a true blue redesign…as in this is leading into games on platforms. I believe this is the first time that the franchise has redesigned itself in line with a cartoon.
Edit: Good god Knux is as distracting as I was hoping he wouldn’t be. I’m actually semi ok with the others but Knux just sticks out lol.
I think they look fine honestly.
Knuckles is just distracting. The rest are fine with Sonic looking a little off imo. Hope this doesn’t go over into the comics though.
Knuckles, why you skip leg day? Seriously, why does he have to be that huge? It sticks out too much. I like Amy’s new design but her head is too big for her body
It won’t. Sega leaves the comic to it’s own devices unless they want them to do a quick side story tie in for a game that’s coming out and it doesn’t affect anything. Archie does keep an eye on what’s going on with the franchise though so if it does happen it may end up being gradual and possibly a story leading up to it.

if you think about it, it may make some sense since knux is apart of an ancient warrior race so maybe that size is common for thier warriors
not sure where the bandages come from, (at least theres no zippers) and the shoe designs are ugly, knux should be wearing tims

New trailer for the game is out…has the english VA’s but the text is not. I’m kind of…waiting for this to sink in before I respond so I’m not hasty lol.

I had to do some quick looking up for who exactly Big Red Button Entertainment was and for some reason at the time Wiki is down. Joystiq has a small blurb stating that these guys are ex-Naughty Dog peeps. I find this funny because I think I remember a few people wanting a Sonic game by Naughty Dog soooooo…you kinda get your wish?
Hmm I wonder if it’s going to be like Heroes was and let you switch between characters on the fly.
So I think the game has potential, it’s interesting to say the least. This is a way of people getting to use more characters other than sonic I suppose and it looks like all of them have specific abilities and what not. I will say that after having looked at the concept art and then looking at them in game…ESPECIALLY in that shot where all 4 of them are standing their back to back with the camera pan…it’s throwing me off. I was not expecting Sonic to look that lanky after looking at the drawing designs. This is going to take some time to adjust for me personally but if the game is actually good that will help wonders. If the game is horrible, I’m going to be having Kill Bill staring contests with Knux and Sonic’s legs for a long time.
Edit: Good god man…I want to see what they did to some of the other characters. Specifically Eggman and Shadow.
Some new info from destructoid. Sonic Boom is using Cry Engine 3 on Wii U and the 3DS version is going to be developed by Sanzaru Games
Also this game is actually going to be a Sub Series and won’t have any effect on the main series. SOLD!

Edit 2: Eggman now also reminds me of a Baron for some reason. Sonic actually looks better in the trailer for the TV show.
Sonic games always had get music but I doubt when the musical geniuses at Sonic Team will get me to like dubstep. Great seeing Amy being playable in the games again.
Saw the TV trailer. Yea, the Sonic design looks so much better on the TV show. I like Robotnik’s new design. Though it’s disappointing that Eggman is his actual name this time.

Also from the article it is confirmed that this will be a co-op game for the main game and some modes of the game will have 4 player co op in it.
Also thinking about this…This is the first time in awhile that Western devs have gotten their hands on this franchise in some form hasn’t it?
What the fuck is this? This sounds like an awful episode and it makes me fear for the show.
From that episode premise it clear they’re doing with a style similar to the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog with the new show.
Better have my God damn Sonic Says at the end of each episode.
