sonic forces is better than mania, that is a fact. if people prefer mania they might as well play the older games. it brings nothing new to the table, and it’s more copy pasta than a fan mod game. at least fans got more creative making Sally playable

The more I look at it, and the more revealed to me the more I think Sonic Forces is going to be a real shit show.

Also there is a huge story issue with a force perspective from a OC character going side to side with a Major established character.
The OC is supposed to be the placeholder/Avatar of the player. In Open world RPGs, your custom made character is ether you or a role your playing as is the center of attention.
In games like Skyrim and Fallout, there no one to overshadow the OC Hero. Anyone who does overshadow the Hero/OC in the open world is ether a Villain or some figure from the series lore that you will never meet.
Issue I see with Sonic Forces is Sonic (and his past self) and crew is going to over shadow the Hero OC. Which is really bad from a narrative standpoint.
Like any good D&D DM will tell you, you never want a NPC on your players side who will just overshadow the party, that overshadowing character can exist in the Lore of that game world but they are not to cross paths.
Its the major issue that the DC online MMO has, your character is overshadowed by the regular members of the Justice League.
Your character exist in the shadow of Super Man, Bat Man and WonderWoman and plays second fiddle to these giants.
You are going to cause the story to lose interest in the game as you always be in Sonic’s shadow, even if ability wise you are his equal.
The design of Infinite is embarrassingly edgy. Depending on how his character is he’s guaranteed to be the Shadow for a new generation of Sonic fans.
My issue with the OC is that it’s gameplay resolves around the use of gadgets. Sega could have used Tails if they needed a gadget based character. They’ve used him like that before.
Joke online Im seeing right now is that Shadow is learning how to be more edgy from his senpai.
Can’t believe you guys haven’t realized Infinite and OC are likely related in some cliche fashion.
OC will make a Heroic Sacrifice to bring Infinite down to human levels so Sonic can beat him.
So it read like fan fan fiction, got it.
Also lol at the character being called “Infinite”… Seeing as how there is another Infinite that needs it’s ass kicked.

Bad Ass from the future/another planet/another dimension comes with the sole mission to fuck up titular hero till he/she is a grease smear on the road.
