Gotta say I’m not feelin it either. Seems like they just turned a bunch of great sonic tunes into wubstep and club music. Meh.
Personal Critique:
I actually gave it a listen earlier and I do agree it’s not as good as the first. First had very little tracks that I didn’t dig maybe like 3. Most of that album went into my playlist. (Actually while I’m typing this I just did a quick overview of the first CD and the only track out of the first disc I didn’t include on my playlist was Grimecraft’s Escape From the City…his take on that was…interesting)
Tracks that stood out to me : Hyper Potions - Tropical Resort, Tudd’s Funky Robo, Blind’s Starlight Starbright, Flexstyle’s Aquafire, RoBKTA’s King of the Mountain, Grimecraft’s Chemical Plant remix, DJ Super Sonic’s Flying Fusion. This CD overall feels a bit more subdued than the first…none of the tracks seem to reach my favorite out of the first in terms of energy. (Though I’m not sure if that’s fair though since this track was originally on OCR first and then reworked for the album). Kind of disappointing…hopefully if they ever get around to a 3rd one they’ll find that energy the first one had again.
Side note: I thought the vid started at 10:27 and it did but it looks like Cutman trimmed the pre stream stuff out so the vid should be just the entire listening party now.
I don’t like anything I’ve heard it off Grimecraft yet. He just has entire breakdown sections that are boring as shit to me.
Overall I generally agree on those tracks. Both that they are cool but not like amazing to me
There where portions of most of the tracks that lingered on the same beat too long. Like 6 or 7 reps, was super annoying imo.
Ill agree that Grimecraft usually a coin flip from what I’ve heard so far. Dug his version of Aquatic Ambience though.

From what I read Archie cancelled the books on the down low. Penders hands are clean of this mess.
Ive been trying to read exactly whats been going on but info isnt quite readily available aside from some of the guys who worked on the comics looking for work elsewhere. Supposedly Archie doesnt want to continue the comic despite it being successful because of the drama from licensing and dealing with the crap from the past few years. Ill have to try to find links for stuff. People keep asking rubyeclipse about it whenever they stream and he still doesnt have any info to provide on the situation.

For many Archie Comics also to blame for opening up the more cringworthy parts of the Sonic fandom.
So I am not sad at all to see the Archie Sonic comics go.

The fact that even he doesn’t even quite know what the heck is going on is crazy. Last he heard was some information is supposed to come up by the end of this month.
I don’t get why Archie is keeping this in the dark even from their creative teams.
