I’d say 30 is a pretty good price for it.
Still don’t have it yet . . . sad face.
Just got my 200/200g for Sonic CD. Turns out you have to do this to unlock the sound test menu and the movie gallery in the extra menus. Not sure what the other two locked things are. I assume I’ll have to beat it with Tails to find out.
Ive always said sega should save time money and do themselves a favor and adapt the archie comics stories into the games because that is one seriously underrated comic series
Sonic CD will be autobuy for me tomorrow…cant wait
I think there’s potentiel in making a new Sonic animated series based on the Archie comics; they just need some good story and characterization…oh and action that too. I have an idea for how the series would be like but…I’d need some time to get the concepts straight a bit ^_^;
This could be crazy entertaining, horrifying or a little bit of both for you guys
Decided to get Sonic CD for the Android. I haven’t played it yet because my phone is dead and I left my charger 450 miles away. On that note, brb… cell phone store.
Also, I got to play Sonic Colors a few days ago. This game… is REALLY good. I like it as much as Generations though I haven’t dug too deep into it. Completed the game at least.
Amazingly, I didn’t like Sonic Colors.(Wii version, I liked the DS one) And I stopped at the water world area.
It’s been quite a long time since I played colors though, and i’m getting a Wii within a week so, i’ll be trying it again.
Maybe playing Sonic Generations will help change my mind.
I dunno… I have my doubts, unless you liked Unleashed Day stages. I almost want to say Colors was the most fun in a Sonic game that I’ve had this year between that, Unleashed and Generations. Generations plays a lot like Unleashed that’s momentum based where you’re running and gaining boost meter while platforming at high speed. Colors… IDK… there’s a lot of 2.5D gameplay that sticks out with a healthy amount of platforming you probably won’t find in Generations unless you’re predominately using classic Sonic. The use of wisps really gives the game a dynamic feel. Call it a gimmick, but it’s not always forced, especially after you unlock Super Sonic.
There are a few problems. I don’t mind a lighthearted story, but the script although entertaining was really cheesy at times. The bosses were visually redundant and most of them didn’t put up much of a fight. The camera zooms out so far at times, even on a 54 inch TV (which in itself was an issue because it lags - which ties in with the following issue) I can lose Sonic. Sonic can be a bit tricky to control when it comes to jumping. It’s speed is slow and floaty, it’s height is considerably high, and it’s somewhat hard to control. Double jumping makes you lose even more control, but in the end, it’s just something to get used to.
Even though I only played the game for two days, I’m just surprised at the overall quality of it. If you liked the DS version of Colors, you might want to consider the DS version of Generations. However, I’m willing to bet that DS Colors is probably the better game. If Dimps’s current gameplay style for handhelds is your thing, you might find it better than the Console version.

I think he could’ve done this faster.
Sonic Colors DS is underrated.
The water levels in both are not fun though.
Does anyone else feel like they should get rid of the boost mechanic or change it and put spindash back into 3d sonic? I get this derp feeling when I’m able to hold down the boost for like 30 seconds straight and just ravage through the level.
I have a question to answer your question…have you ever tried to spin dash through an enemy in Sonic Adventure 1 or 2? For that matter have you ever attempted to roll through an enemy in any of the 3D games?
Well the spindash in sonic adventure 1 completely stops if u touch a wall, so you have to actually know what you’re doing. Spindashes in sa 1/2 also usually stop when you touch an enemy. I also dislike how speed distorts the music. It just seems silly that they would remove something like the spindash. It’s like removing homing attack.
Also, the light speed dash is so unresponsive in generations ><
Still good game… just making some points
In Sonic Adventure 2:
Hold B, release, press B again while holding forward. Full speed every time.
I would prefer that over generations hold down one button that does everything in the game and ruins the incredible music in the game for 20 seconds straight. Again, it’s not a big complaint. It’s just something I dislike about the game. Also, you would think after all these years, sega would finally learn how to work a camera in a 3d sonic game xD
Just out of curiosity, what happened with the camera? I felt like this was the first 3D Sonic where the camera did exactly what I wanted it to.
Well obviously in the scripted parts like if sonic is doing some cool scripted shit in stages it was fine, but there were definitely parts where I would be running and then the camera would just fuck up, and it would lose control of sonic. There were even some glitches involving the camera in which the camera would just be looking off and I would just fall through the ground and be trapped. It is a huge improvement over camera wise over past games like sonic adventure etc, but it’s still truly outrageous and could be worked. One thing I actually like about the game is that there are still glitches. Glitches in most sonic games add replay value except for just plain stupid glitches that randomly occur like in 06. Most of the replay value in sonic adventure 1 came from glitching in the world area. I was actually worried there wouldn’t be any glitches in generations.
Personally, I find the boost mechanic the best thing they’ve added in a Sonic game for a long time.
I prefer it over spin dash while playing modern.
For classic, the spindash is kinda weird in generations. I hope that if they do another one of these types of games, they edit the spindash to Sonic3/Knuckles style.
