The Sonic the hedgehog thread V.3-2012 Sonic 4: Episode 2

You know I’m used to seeing Sonic blaze through enemies now like it was nothing but when he came through that television glass at the beginning of that video it hurt my face a little bit

damn GI gave SG a 6/7ish score

I want whatever they’re smoking over there.

holy shit im mad that boss on chemical plant was a bitch to fight and u telling me it was DERP WAY to beat him? fuck u sega T_T

Did you know that you could dodge the cube attacks by holding down?

Shouldn’t matter you can kill him before he has time to even drop one brick.

I need to go play Sonic 2 so I can experience invincibility at the boss at Chemical Plant!

Although, if you fall in that toxic water, you’re still going to get killed anyway.

I’m more amazed by that. Moving Spikes? WTF. I never would have guessed that at all.

lol that boss was easy, my main trick was just to jump on him and if I jumped correctly I’d stay on him and keep damaging him. Just gotta remember that it takes 8 hits to defeat him so when I’m nearing 7 or 6 I jump off so I don’t fall to my doom.

Huh I didn’t know that; most of the time I just move around so it falls in a random location

I remember reading in an old gaming mag as a kid (probably gamepro) about it. I’m not sure it works for Tails but yeah, you duck it and it misses you completely.

Flying Battery Zone’s theme is too good.

this game sold 12,000 units in the UK week 1. That is hella weak considering COD MW 3 sold over 1 million

Comparing any game’s sales to a Call of Duty game is never fair, mate.

Sonic Generations= A game for a franchise which Kids think is stupid and dying with a classic game style they never played before and therefore won’t give a chance.

MW3= A game with OMG REALISTIC WAR GRAPHICZZZ EPIC GUNZZZZ and 18 rated,
Which one will kids between the age of 13-17 buy?

Wish this game had some type of online race mode :o

well even if you don’t compare it to COD it’s just an awful, awful number for a Sonic game that wouldn’t have been cheap to make. I just used the MW3 figure to illustrate the numbers a top game reaches here. 12,000 is comparable to a niche Japanese title like Catherine, seriously.

dude, go read a book or something

Sonic Generations will do fine selling considering that it’s the title that had the highest reserves. Don’t forget we have the holiday season coming up and ‘knowledgeable’ soccer moms who watch the news and think any title with a T rating or above regardless of content should die in a fire will be looking for something else other than Call of Duty.

Getting an S Rank on Crisis City classic is extremely annoying for some reason.
There’s always one thing i’ll mess up on and after I mess up once, game over.

Of course I haven’t watched anyone speed run this yet and that isn’t the issue, it’s just at the last part I tend to mess up a lot.
Or one instance I had this strange error.

-edit-

Jesus, I have never played Sonic Riders but damn. The music is insanely good.

Sonic may not have always had the best presentation, but one thing’s for sure, the music is always great.

As long as I’ve been playing this I didn’t know about the trophy room until tonight. I dunno if it’s been discussed in the thread here yet or not. If you’re curious google Sonic Generations Trophy room and passwords.

checking out metacritic and noticed the original Sonic Adventure 2 has an 89 on it.
http://www.metacritic.com/game/dreamcast/sonic-adventure-2The original Sonic Adventure doesn’t have a metacritic it seems. However I checked out GameSpot and they gave it a 9.2.
