Spagonia/Rooftop run was revealed in trailers. In fact, I believe the list of stages was dropped for quite some time.
Generation’s Modern Rooftop Run is actually shorter than the original Rooftop Run in Unleashed HD. I enjoyed no speed limiter during the final blimp chase scene.
Shadows of the Damned is the fucking shit dude. good purchase. If you really liked RE4, and have a good sense of humor for things that don’t take themselves seriously, then you’re gonna fucking love Shadows of the Damned. It plays great, it’s got awesome weapons, it’s hilarious, and it knows it’s a B-Movie.
I’ve had it reserved forever and I was planning on picking it up day 1 but I got hit with money trouble so I had to wait on it. Same with Bulletstorm. I’m playing it now with my girl and I’m enjoying it.
Edit:
I actually didn’t realize it was Steve Blum playing Garcia from the trailers until I actually started playing the game. Usually I’m able to catch that.
Edit2:
I’m adding the egg robots that throw the pickaxes from Classic Planet Wisp on to my ‘most annoying sonic enemies’ list right beside that damn praying mantis from Metropolis Zone.
I have to say this game looks pretty damn good. As I’ve gotten older, I’m slowly losing my interest in games. The last games I played was Alice Madness and I watched DSP beat Catherine. I liked Heavy Rain and Uncharted 2 but I have no interest in the latest aaa titles like Arkham City or Uncharted 3. However, I am really interested in this game and Skyward Sword.
Sega.com forums admins are shutting down threads with the codes posted, but if you google “Sonic Generations Statue Codes”, this is what you get from the first URL.
I don’t know why Sega.com is deleting the threads. Dunno if Sega had some sort of a plan to release the codes in the future.
I’ve put in all the codes… it’s a small treat. :3
Not just a good review, but also well written for once.
Neither did I at first…I trying to do everything and it wasn’t working. I did find out what it was I needed to do.
Spoiler
You generally have to keep boosting constantly to get close enough to time eater. You don’t have to homing attack just get right up on him where he’s vulnerable and Sonic will take care of the rest
The short stages were the reason I quit playing Colors. I felt like I was wasting my time because it took the same length of time to beat a level as it did to load the level.
I think most people are aware of Super Sonic’s presence in Generations by now. Afterall, Sega did annouce/reveal him themselves at some event.
Spoiler
I beat it. I also did keep boosting constantly. It’s weird because I was following the sound of boosting and in super sonic mode, the sound fades away and it had me thinking i wasn’t boosting, but he is just by holding it. I was pressing the attack button so the assisting super sonic would knock stuff out of the way. It’s weird how rings are super hard to see (like in Unleashed’s Super Sonic’s start) but when you’re nearing the end, a BUNCH of rings come pouring at you out of nowhere. I lost a lot of lives (even continued once) from loss of rings, but when I beat Eggman, I had 140 lololol.) At least it’s not frustrating and retarded. Still, I don’t get the concept of switching. I did most of my attacking with modern Super Sonic though I did get some hits with classic Super Sonic. It’s also easier to spot rings in classic. Perhaps I should’ve played this part on my bigger TV…
[details=Spoiler]What I like:
-He doesn’t have his own 3 second theme when you play him in game
-He looks serious
-The animation of de-Super Sonicing
What I don’t like:
-He absorbs rings at a much faster rate
-Classic Super Sonic is slower than Sonic with speed up shoes
-Modern Super Sonic seems to be able to boost in the air giving him somewhat of a flying state which seems to make him lose rings at a rate so fast, by the time you’ve read this sentence, he has absorbed 50 rings.
-The problem is how modern achieves this flying state when boosting. If he’s running on the ground and the ground slants down, he’ll go into this flight state and you’ll eat rings so fast you probably won’t even notice. There is no way to manually bring him back down.
-Classic Super Sonic gets something I would call, “the people’s classic Sonic jump.” No, modern Sonic doesn’t get a higher jump in Super Sonic form.
-I actually wonder if modern Super Sonic is slower than modern Sonic with the Speed Up skill…
-If you boost with modern Super Sonic, it will always send him forward even if you’re facing backwards.
-Dunno what to do with him. When he’s not boosting, he doesn’t seem any faster than modern Sonic[/details]
