The problem with gender politics on SRK is I find myself often defending women here only to balance out the rampant misogyny that the average, witty, acne-clad tekkies dish out.

All the criticisms have been towards sites like jebzels or tumblr feminist…I don’t recall anyone ever saying they hate women. Now granted people have said things against the women who support idiotic trends but I don’t see why calling out the stupidity and dishonesty of feminism translates to misygony.

In all fairness the Elliot Rogers situation was almost immediately hijacked by the 1st world feminist and immediately claims were made that he was a PUA/MRA.
Most of the public figures that called this out as being deceptive and false weren’t even with the MRA. The hashtag was getting criticized by mostly neutral sources.
