So someone explain to me the backlash against #YesAllWomen because I just donât get it. Is it like that one moron in every grade growing up who would ask why there isnât a white history month?
Black History month is bullshit. Americans need to stop pretending like the history of all the people in it didnât happen simultaneously. Its w/e though, it ainât like this country takes its history seriously.
I want to agree with this sentiment, but this country has an astounding ability to try and pretend it has never done anything heinous⌠Having a month to remind people that âyeah, Black people did stuff to advance this country tooâ is too close to reminding people that slavery was a thing.
Which reminds them of all the other terrible shit this country has done.
Just ask an older Native American(if you can find any left) about the âIndian schoolsâ the government set up that tried to teach native kids that their culture was âwrongâ and âsavageâ and should be renounced if they wanted to be accepted by the rest of US societyâŚ
For starters the movement was mainly organized by tumblr/twitter feminist which used a very terrible tragedy as leverage to advertise their ideas/values.
The second problem is that it gave these women a cheap justification to attack and generalize all men as potential rapist and abusers. In addition to this, no man was allowed to object or criticize the movement because if they did they were derailing or missing the point of the conversation. Basically the hashtag was clumsy propaganda to evangelize radical tumblr feminist sentiment.
There was also a clusterfuck of messed up ideas such as that men should all act as unofficial bodyguards for women.
Basically the #yesallwomen is like when someone starts a sentence with âNo offense butâŚâ or âI donât mean to be raicist butâŚâ, you know there isnât any good shit coming out of their mouth afterwards, just misandric bullshit.
The attacks were motivated entirely by religious reasons but this site frames it as a gendered issue to align with their concept that men feel entitled to womenâs bodies.
The comments all explode with cries of"look what women have to go through"and"this is what the MRA believes in." This dishonesty is precisely why that hashtag had such a backlash.
This is a really really really really REALLY bad idea and I donât understand why Senin isnât banned and this thread nuked from orbit. And before Senin can pop off I am very very very mych not a SJW if you paid any attention to how I feel on these topics.
Now Iâm gonna do something more important than this thread and play some A2 on GGPO
Your the one who came into that thread with a irreverent point you didnât bother to explain until a good 3 pages afterwards. Besides I kept things civil in that thread, it was only closed because everyone else was getting crazy emotional.
Also going by your post you are very much a SJW given your opinion that men should take up a shield and sword anytime a woman complains about something. Anyhow if you donât want to participate then fine but donât come in here again and ruin yet another thread.
Why would there be butthurtâŚespecially from a guy like you just trolls threads with no argument.
SenninSRK IRL, picking fights with people way bigger than him and continuously running into fists (the backup dude can be, I dunno, Azure or Serpent or whoever):
Do you have the source that states conclusively that it was in fact for religious reasons? The article says reports are conflicting. And even if it was a motivation, are you saying you have a link to them doing the same to a man?
The hashtag was the result of social media feminist deciding to make the Elliot killing spree a statement of violence against womenâŚeven though 4 of the 7 victims were men. The name"YesAllWomen" was a idea to mock the"NotAllMen"argument which feminist hate cause clearly prejucial profiling is only acceptable when feminist make them. I suggest you read 1 of the many articles written on the subject to get bit more informed befor spouting anymore ignorance.
The multiple news outlets on the subject that you can find from a simple google search all report that the men are apart of a fanatical cult and that the cult wasnât even a group of men but rather a family that had 2 women in it. As for a source stating the conclusive cause:
In addition to the group actually consisting of women and a official police statement stating that they were attempting to recruitâŚIâd wager this had more to do with murderous zealots them some guy having his sexual advances turned down. As for them doing to the same to a manâŚwell we donât know any other crimes the cult committed or what would have happened if it was a man. Unless your gonna make the argument that men have never been killed by a religion ( which wouldnât surprise me if you do) this point is completely irrelevant.
Now unless you have any official statements contradicting this article or evidence to suggest the Jezebel article heading is accurate and that the commentators on that are in the rightâŚIâd recommend to do more research before talking again mate.
