Looking at the second and third rounds it appeared that the El Fuerte player noticed a pattern of options (Kunai, Focus, Throw). He was baiting your limited options, and didn’t worry about anything else. Using something cr.MK instead is a safer attack to whiff, bait his specials instead. Blocking most of his specials is just as good as landing a knockdown, very punishable (as you noticed!).
I bet you he wouldn’t have been ready for a Neckbreaker, not that it’s a safe bet to make. Mix it up =)

I’ve been starting to get down her back s.mp dash cancel back s.mp to w/e but its a bit hard now. i’ve only been practicing it today. That and her c.lp c.lp c.lp s.mp neck breaker. I know she has an easier one but I seen that the c.lp c.lp s.lp s.mp neck breaker doesn’t work on some crouching characters like rog or furte or even cammy. So i want to learn that combo just for those match ups
Yeah, her Dash cancel is something I’ve never put time into. Currently I just use TC4 xx Special as my main combo, or lk -> mk xx Special whenever TC4 wouldn’t work (crouching Blanka, Cammy, you know it.)
I’m slightly confused why people do the cr.LP, cr.LP, c.LP, c.MK combo after the Vortex hits; I guess it has something to do with hit-confirming. I’m good at reacting, so I thought to utilize my natural skill with learning how to counter everything; using more powerful combos can wait! It’s easier to do links as Ryu than Ibuki for some reason =).

You should consider learning the dash cancel, I’m not saying its a must
but what are you doing as an anti air currently?
I personally air throw any jump ins
but I’m starting to learn the dash cancel which does more
Damage/stun and allows you to have good positioning.
I can explain why I use the crouching combo; sometimes the opponent doesn’t stand after the kunai
So tc4 whiffs so going into crouch combo would be better.
And in comparison to s.lk s.mk ender the crouching combo does more stun/dmg
I think you gave this Rufus way too much respect. In this match up (and a lot of others where we’re forced to play lame because of the match up) I like to space my opponent with my normals (cr. strong, cr. forward, and st. strong), lk tsumiji and intelligent kunais. Pay attention to Acquas spacing in his videos.
As far as mistakes I didn’t see any real baits for ex messiah kick during your block strings or counter hit setups to set up grabs, you just did the basic Ibuki strings. You let him get away from your vortex that one time with ex messiah kick which could’ve been punished with neckbreaker which caused your loss in momentum. And I have no idea why you were scared to safe jump him when he had ultra 2??? Ibuki is a momentum character like Viper, once you give up your momentum and get predictable you die. So try and mix it up more and don’t let people go once you have them on there toes.

I use Ageman? (whatever her back MP is). I hardly ever use her Command Dash, because I don’t want them to expect it when I’m desperate. Maybe I’ll upload another match, thanks =)
I guess I should use that combo when I get a cr.Jab to hit, but 'cause I switch to Ryu when I play at the Arcades, I go for a Sweep instead.
