Jordunable got a ps3 already,
Close s.HK to command dash is a pretty frame tight cancel any ways. If youāre not getting that consistently online itās not really a surprise. Headstomps are easy to deal with . Only scrub Bisons use headstomps as a regular offense. If you see the headstomp coming at you you can easily walk past it and punish or just dash under it for an easy escape. Ibukiās slow walk speed may not be the greatest for walking under it but the dash will definitely get you out of there. The only time good Bisons really ever use headstomp is on your wake up where it becomes a scary safe on block instant overhead that can do a lot of damage and cause a knockdown. Bison players just throwing headstomps out there while youāre standing is not really a threat. Even if u just block it thereās really not much to worry about and depeding on the way he recovers from the headstomp u can do things like neckbreak to punish him falling down.
This is a Local Ibuki player whoās been picking it up over the past few weeks.

DJ and Malaka hook it up with the match breakdown if you could please?
I thought the match overall was well played. Didnāt do much that I wouldnāt have done but Juicebox came out on top. I noticed sometimes he tried to go for low short, low jab combos at a range where he probably could have done low short, far s.LP which is an easier link. Maybe try to pressure him with throws and f+MK on his wake up more to deter the EX rolls but he didnāt really EX roll unless u went for meaty kunai any way which is a free EX roll out. Though honestly I donāt even really understand the matchup much beyond what was displayed so until I learn more I dont really have much else to input other than keep working at it.
Overall the matchup seems to be about doing well enough in the beginning so itās easier to win in the end. The less mistakes u make the less meter Abel will have and as long as Abel only has one EX meter or less you really shut down his ability to escape the kunai vortex on wake up. The better he does the more meter he gets and the easier it is for him to escape your pressure game.
Tsumuji has a solid Ibuki, but it seems purple is becoming more of a popular colour⦠nooo!
Ok matches, but I would say you need to work on your footsies. You were able to take advantage of a couple of mistakes on the Ryu playerās part, but other than that I thought your offense was a little stale. He made a ton of mistakes.
Cheers on posting the video here, SNK. I went back and researched the match a little more, Iāll post it in the matchup thread.
Thanks for the props, guys. Color 5 is where itās at.
Couple of matches from me vs a rose, one of my hardest matchups
This is a match i never know for sure if i will win or not.
((btw the reason why i do a sweep after mk is because i hurt my hand in a tkd match and circles are hard to do for the moment )
Feel free to comment on all the mistakes i have made:)

I think you do to many jump ins, alot from your offense comes from jump ins he doensāt punish
Better punish on the stun
In ther corner its better you do ex hopkicks into dp or raida
No naked neckbreakers
Bit more mixups after a blocked mk hopkicks:
*another mk hopkick
- f lk hopkicks
*overhead
*nothing
*ping kicks

Loved this match, especially the slide under fireball to stuff her moving forward with U2, and also in the last round with the wake up kunai fully inside her leading to crouch jab combo to spin kick win!
My mate is really good with Rose, I can easily bait his U2 but I donāt know what to do afterā¦
Thanks:)
In most cases just block it out is best i think if you can bait it.
If you think they will dash forward you can attemp a slide like i did:)
Rose is hard matchup for me but i learned alot from a match between dragon god and sabin.
I need to use alot more the f+lk poke to cancel and a good timed slide.
But what special should i do after the f+lk?
I think I found the one you mean -
One thing Iāve found and not seen in high level play (probably cos the situation doesnāt really occur) is simply using LK in air to air situations, as you will hit the ground first and can cross up by walking under your opponent. Anyway, for what itās worth, thereās something Iāve found.
Yeah that is the one i mean
if you do lk in the air isnt it better to just airthrow then?
I suppose at high level you would air throw, as maybe your opponent would be good enough to block the correct way once heās on the ground.
For the B ranks I play, they never expect me to be on the other side of them so I will usually do TC8 and try and get the CMD dash to cross them up again (which I invariably fail at). I do TC8 as I will often forget who TC4 whiffs against crouching opponents, but sometimes Iāve not been far enough underneath them when pressing HP so the animation plays out but they are behind me. oh the shame.
TC4 mostly whiffs against smaller characters, thats what i try to remember.
Or characters with odd hitboxes like guy and blanka.

The key vs rose is definitely patience and that f-lk which can stuff rose slide/spiral arrow and some normals.
sweep seems to be quite good also from long range.
Finally picked the game up and have been playing it for about 4 days⦠Iām a 3s player so generally I play a little more conservative, itās been a struggle for me to not throw my stick out the window with the amount of ridiculously lame mashers in this game but heres a vid.

Honestly Iām just copying a set I seen from Iyo and Momochi, donāt really know safe jumps and osāsā¦
Any advice on things I need to do differently or put in my game would be helpful
Tossing HK command dashes into block strings is almost never a good idea unless you notice your opponent literally dozing off. Compliments on your execution though.
Yeah ive started to learn that unless the target combo hits the person it can be really easy for them to jab or throw you out. I usually still do it once in a while though because people rarely fight Ibuki online and the first time u do it to them its usually a free mix up.
