I just hope momochi keeps playing Ibuki.
Ibuki is actually built rather close to Akuma. They work off of similar principles, but use different tools to carry it out. That is one the reasons I like playing her.
He plays a little of every character. You see him regularly playing Ryu, Akuma, Viper, and a couple others.
That’s some good shit Skout, very impressive. Too bad you’re on Xbox, playing you would have been fun and definitely would have helped my game.
many thanks to everybody’s positive comments, with the help of Kreative hopefully ill be able to get more vids up. If you have any matchup requests in particular let me know, take my vids with a grain of salt I’m in training just like the rest of y’all, feel free to add me although I hate ibuki mirrors lol.
Try using command dashes after knockdowns to get better spacing on kunai crossups.

who is this directed to?
To you. I didn’t mean to sound rude, I was doing other stuff at the same time. But your kunai cross-ups were using widely spaced jumps, from the ones I saw. Command/normal dashes after your tsumuji and neckbreaker knockdowns to tighten the timing on the cross-ups. If you do it already, or if you think I’m spouting nonsense then that is fine, I’m just trying to offer a suggestion.
Damn it Stabby if you didn’t hate on the rugrats everything would be fine.
Momochi vs Blanka

c.hp option select to counter blanka’s ex rainbow ball.
Nice. Can anybody elaborate on this option-select? What buttons are pressed etc.
LOL no man i don’t take offense easily in this forum my friend, you gotta have thick skin cuz there are a lot of sensitive women running around up in this place.
I do use it, at times, but not off of tsumuji. Tsumuji kunai mixups have perfect vortex spacing imo. Command dashes, because of the recovery usually mess up my kunai timing off tsumuji actually, and being the close to them makes it trickier to time too, but too each his own.
p.s. that mixup after the stun on the bison is henceforth known as the ‘tough business special’ ! YES i always wanted a special haha, we’ll see if that catches on.
I dont get why everyone says command dash before the kunai when her normal dash is a good few frames faster than all the dashes and still prob guys lp command dash range?
After tsumuji the lk command dash puts her at a perfect position for small jump crossup kunai, but it also leaves her inside a range where you could also attack. It isn’t that doing mixup directly from tsumuji is bad, but after the lk dash you force them to react to more potential options in a smaller time frame. It isn’t an issue as long as you keep hitting them, but if people start blocking more then try it out. Most of the jap vids I see have them using it in most of their setups after knockdown.
The lk command dash is the only one that works for making it a possible mixup. Her normal dash, mk and hk dash put her too close to do anything but regular ground strings, pressure.

watch my “Noobuki” getting rape tonight lol
imo lk command dash tk. kunai is superior over the regular or sjc kunai vortexes. Even off of neckbreaker, lk CD kunai gives them less time to react on which side to block.
seems easier to pull off consistently too since it just requires speed in execution rather than timing.
Looking forward to your Freebuki.
I agree with the speed giving the opponent less time to react, but from what I’ve seen, command dash, TK kunai is not 100% safe, in that certain reversals can beat it. Basically I think it’s good to have a mix of kunai setups, and to adapt based on the opponent’s reaction to each setup.
Looking forward to your Freebuki. We have like four Freebukis where I live that play her but never place in tournaments with her.
Yeah that was really nice. I wish the input display was on to confirm that was actually option select and not predicted For a player on Momochi’s skill level it definitely could have been OS, but with his experience a prediction is not out of the question either…
Primary aim is c.LP, c.LP hit confirm combo starter.
OS is c.HP that will come out if the first c.LP whiffs (does not hit, get blocked or absorbed). In this scenario reversal wakeup EX rainbow roll to escape.
The input should be c.LP, c.HP, c.LP. When done perfectly, the timing of the HP needs to be slow enough so that c.LP on whiff has recovered and fast enough so that it doesn’t come out if it’s not a whiff. The second c.LP needs to follow fast enough so that it continues the combo if the first c.LP hits.
