Sako’s first pool match using Ibuki. You can hear me get excited at the end lol. Got goosebumps while recording.

Usage of MP kunai instead of LP kunai in certain situations. Probably to catch possible backdashes.
e.g. combo xx MK Tsumuji knockdown , LK cd , jump MP kunai
I used to try mp kunai when trying to find a kunai setup after EX neckbreaker on Rose. I think it was HK cd, mp kunai. Sometimes she juggles herself and sometimes she gets away with it. The game recording might mess things up, but then, I thought of it as nothing and not test it any further.
An interesting is, it’s not the speed of character’s backdashes that determines the character’s ability to escape kunai, but the setup. Sagat can even autocorrect backdash a kunai crossup setup, but not noncrossup. Even a character with fast backdash with Chun or Rose can only juggle themselves when backdashing a noncrossup setup, maybe because of their long legs. I think Ibuki is one of the few that can backdash any kunais for free without taking damage. Judging from her backdash animation, it looks like she shrink her hurtbox and doesn’t put her legs in front like Chun or Rose.
Or, it could just be Sako was styling on this guy and was confident enough that mp kunai will work lol.
There was one time where Ryu blocked cr.hp, j.lk on corner. It could be a safe jump or he messed up a potential unblockable.
Vega and Balrog can backdash most kunais. Nobody knows about it though. They prefer complaining about how cheap a kunai is
Can be reversaled, can be looped if caught standing, can stay on same side if done fast enough.
Have not tried every character.

He mentioned he don’t really play SF4 anymore. Same thing happened when I played him, he used TC4 for punishes even when he had a lot of time for st.mp and admitted to not know many setups with her like unblockables. But, he’s very good at whiff punishing. I remember getting swept after throwing out my first cr.mp that whiffed in front of him. I don’t think I can call him an Ibuki specialist, but he’s a good fighting game player.
The Viper was Uryo btw.
(he doesn’t play SFIV anymore but would still come and argue with 100% of Ibuki players that Ibuki beats Cammy and Rufus clean. Legit.)

I forgot to say this last time but something worth while to point out is that Ibuki can c.lk through Viper’s mp thunder knuckle. She can also do that after a c.mk canceled into a mp thunder knuckle.
