I think that the video itself is a cristal clear explanation.
Ibuki can combo st.lp after target combo 3 on player 1 side on Yun, but whiffs on player 2 side
Ah, I see.
I just took this for a spin in training mode, and it seems the LP doesn’t connect if you wait for two hits on the MP before pressing HP. If you press HP after only one hit, it connects, and this would seem so match up with the video, unless I’m missing something.
EDIT: Actually, after a bit more experimenting, it seems that with only one hit on the MP you are only just on the very edge of Ibuki’s s.LP range, such that the slight hitbox movement in the standing animations determines whether it hits or not, which could also have something to do with it. It sounds weird, but I’ll upload video proof in a bit
EDIT2: I can confirm that TC4, LP can be landed from both sides, but I’ll admit I found it much harder from the P2 side. The fact that I sucked at it means it’s probably like a 1-frame link. I’ll pu video footage up shortly.
OK, here is the video - I’m too tired to edit it to make it all nice and pretty atm. The first part is just me demonstrating what I was saying before about TC4 putting Yun on the edge of s.LP 's range, and then the next two clips are me doing TC4, LP from both sides.

All this proves, though, is that the combo is possible from both sides, whether or not it is reliable from both or if something is different from the left I have no idea.
EDIT: I should also note that I had a lot of whiffs and blocks of the LP from both sides, but that’s probably just because my execution is ass.
thanks for testing it.
TC3 = far.st.LP xx st.MP xx f+LK.
What you’re using is the 3hit version of TC4.
edit: I stand corrected.
TC3 is j.LK xx j.MK.
far.st.LP xx st.MP xx f+LK is actually TC5.
Just totally random, but one of my replays ended up in LiangHuBBB’s comeback compilation lol:

was gonna post that yesterday! i found it hilarious.
Played against Popolololz the other day on AE PC endless. Here we are, exposed:

Holy shit Damascus, LianghuBBB couldn’t use a more annoying soundtrack for your comeback.
What’s with this Nyan cat thing anyways? It’s not even remotely funny. Only 12-year-olds with low IQs would like that shit.
lol? Have you not seen a LianghuBB video before? He ran out of good music LOOOOOOOOONG time ago, and his humor isn’t even close to being funny. Not to mention his editing skills are so damn awful. The only thing that keeps him going are his “funny and cool moments” videos.
+1, all of his videos are crap and a waste of time.
He’s had some videos where he’s had decent music, but yeah, overall it gets tired and hackneyed after awhile.
Personally, I can’t hate on a guy who puts a lot of time and effort into producing something for the FGC. As long as someone out there likes it, it’s a positive effect on the community in my book. The guys who don’t like it can always just choose not to watch it.
Maybe it’s the other way around: Damascus getting trolled by LianghuBBB.
His Funny and cool moments videos are fun to watch imho
And I don’t know about that Nyan Cat thing. I actually liked this Nyan Cat video because it used to calm down my 2-years old nephew whenever I was babysitting him and he was going crazy. He used to laugh at the Nyan cat and then finally sleep.
Internet memes > toddlers, deal with it
Yes, but I’m pretty sure LianghuBBB is not a toddler, nor are the vast majority of man children that troll the internet, so what’s their excuse for liking Nyan cat?
I played last night at Super Arcade. I did okay but I lost to Valle twice. The first time we played was really close. The second time still went to the third game but it wasn’t as close. My execution was pretty shitty and I’m pretty sure I messed up my unblockables since I haven’t practiced them but Valle always tried to focus out anyways. I think the top 4 results are kinda cool because they were consistent since Tony beat SnakeEyez twice, SnakeEyez beat Valle twice, and Valle beat me twice.
I think what I want to improve other than my unblockables is wiff punishing with st. mk. There’s been so many times where I’m walking back and forth waiting to punish a wiffed normal but end up doing overhead on accident because I tried to walk forward st. mk. I can easily punish with sweep but I’d rather have st.mk -> tsumuji/neckbreaker.

Ibuki OCV vs. Team MCZ (Tokido, Mago, and Daigo)
Match starts at 06:30
I think there’s a new unblockable for Ryu after neckbreaker from watching it.
walk fwd st. jab, j.lk. Maybe with similar timing like f.lk unblockable but with 1 more frame of walk fwd.
Nice to watch.
tap focus, dash cr.HK+HK
tap focus, dash c.MK (CH), s.MK
Nice spacing and combing with c.LK into s.LP from afar.
