You have to click the title, the URL is included. It worked when I just tested it, but let me know if it doesn’t work for you and I will just add the URL below. Edit: Oh I just noticed that I messed it up under the Steve header. But it’s perfectly fine under the “team specific” header.
If only there was a way to link like, part of an SRK forum thread. For instance there are some parts in the Ogre forum filled with tech and oki and strats that levels up your game with him quick but have not been comitted to video yet. What about links to forum threads with really good info/in guide style? Obviously not the main threads…
I’m working on a google doc for Elena and Christie that is still fairly WIP but it do contain most of their combos and some tag stuff atm. Feel free to add it if it’s usefull.
About a year ago I made a collection of character guides and I had a good time doing them. If by the time September comes and some characters I know well have virtually no info here then I will revamp them for 2013. Cannot promise anything before that.
That’s the one I was referring to. But now, it’s gone altogether lol. Check the individual Steve header again and you’ll notice you’ve removed the “Steve’s Gatling Gun Strategies” (or something like that, check my initial post to this thread) link/title/whatever.
See the black arrow thing that displays the time in which your post was posted? To be more specific, it’s at the right of your username on every post. Click on that and it will send you to that specific post, but give you access to the whole thread (in other words, it will automatically navigate its way to the post which you linked to). Copy the URL.
EDIT: Why did I not just edit my previous post? Oh well, there doesn’t seem to be a delete option.
Steve Tutorial Series (pre-v2013):
Part 1: Normals and Specials
Part 2: Bread and Butter Combos
Part 3: Flicker Canceling and Flicker Links
Part 4: Tag Canceling and Launcher Combos
VERY handy series for anyone looking to pick Steve up. The only thing you’d need to keep in mind is that post-v2013, counter hit off of Steve’s overhead is untechable. The rest seems good (correct me if I’m wrong; watched this a long time ago).
Good “Getting Started” guide! I was thinking of doing something similar but wasn’t sure if there was one already out; seeing as yours is up now, I’ll probably get around to my “getting past beginner stuff” general guide (instead of focusing on a Juri guide since you have that covered, I think).
Boost combos are a part of the game and its necessary to know them, particularly with Juri since hers have a few quirks to them. It’s good to point them out and give them a section.
If people are interested I can take my old Poison guide, add some 2013 stuff, and make it more straightforward and less comedic and then link it here. I also wrote one for Bob but I do not want to touch 2013 Bob. So many shenanigans I would not do him justice.
I’m aiming to produce some further tutorials in a similar fashion for Juri. The next video is going to include her extended play, like how her moves can be abused (such as mk’s low properties and her ex senpusha cadc into sekku). If you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know and I’ll be sure to cover them!
I was actually going to suggest covering something along the lines of her counter in particular, ie., when and when not to use it, some of is quirks, etc.
Yeah alright, I’ll do a segment on it. What are the quirks you’re thinking of, the neutral attacks from an EX or for messing with their input with lp kasa?
Noted quirks:
fs.mk - at most ranges will only connect one hit, cutting its damage in half
cl.mk - second hit will sometimes whiff on crouchers during boosts depending on distance
cl.hp - if boosted into launcher, no follow-ups will connect (boosting it to super or CA or something works though…)
cr.hp - whiffs at most ranges outside of point blank
fs.hk - Will not combo directly from fs.lk, making a shortened boost combo of fs.lk xx fs.hk impossible
