I’m not scared about Abi, but good luck if you miss something on him and he’s full of resources. Take him down is consuming, his hurtboxes are a big question mark, but what people really want to avoid is having a co-starring role in the next Abigail combo videos.
Yeah I don’t dread the abi MU even though it’s wonkey as shit since I’m trying to clip his non-existent hurtboxes.
I question why a man with his buttons, burst damage, and better wakeup options than Menat or Bison gets to have 1100HP. But all I really want is just to fix his hurtboxes and make his jumping box match his model. Just being able to whiff punish his buttons would go a long way in reining him in.
We have to see if Capcom has fixed his hurtboxes, if not we need to adapt. The 1100HP are justified with him being a big boi with theoretically a big hurtbox. For the same reason female characters generally pay the vagina tax with generally >1000HP, Laura has 1000 because she’s a grappler.

Vagina tax has been beginning to make less and less sense to me recently. And also slightly sexist considering some female archetypes don’t really have a need for less health, they just have it…cause it’s a girl.

It’s gonna be good, but man it would be so much better if one of them was fast enough to combo from st. LK. Whiff punishing stuff with st. LK makes me feel so good about myself, like I’m actually a good player. Too bad that will probably still require meter. But at least buffering a cr. MP or MK will always work instead of some how catching someone who walked forward/dashed, crouched, and then got hit.
