My Qanba Obsidian came in from New Egg. It’s early but I like the stick a lot. It feels really solid and a lot better built than my Hori. I don’t like the placement of the Option button but that’s a minor thing.
Do people really get opened up by juri’s vt or are people just getting impatient when blocking and try to fight back with buttons when they really shouldn’t.

The way Juri’s V Trigger opens you up is more similar to how Chun’s V Trigger opens you up where once they get into position you’re just going to have to deal with a lot of buttons that always convert on a hit. Theoretically if you just sit there and block gud and tech throws you can escape both of their V Trigger, but realistically that’s not going to happen unless you’re a robot. Gentleman Thief can be regularly seen taking 80 to 90 percent of the opponent’s health and stunning them with the current VT1 and he’s dealing with people that clearly know how to block and tech.
With Juri specifically she can constantly fish with buttons until you crack and can keep you from pressing anything with the fireball that she can follow in front of her. Not to mention has a dash that creates very hard to see throws if she isn’t close to you already. Basically nobody can block that long without eventually taking a throw, which leads to you teching which sets up combos.
Nah im good. I accept that I play for self improvement and fun. Im not chasing CPT points and im not a win at all costs kind of guy so i don’t see the point for me personally chasing tier positions.
I think if you’re going to switch characters for the purpose of winning you gotta go to the top anyway. Otherwise the move doesn’t make much sense.

Shimmy status is unknown, we’ll have to see how it plays.
Too many factors right now without playing it.
Throw loops are (mostly) gone so why would people tech at all, but on the other hand throws have one more active frame.
There’s also the fact that you can shimmy normals, but it’s not as effective as simply baiting.

Yeah I’m digging this Qanba. Except the damned option button being so small and tucked in at the top. I’m used to the huge option button next to the rest of them on the Hori. Stick feels really really solid. Seems heavier and more expensive than the Hori.
There were books written years ago by a guy called Timothy Zahn. They were awesome.
These new films are just copys with PC characters. Rogue one in particular is hilarious. They took somebody from every nation in the world , made a female lead ( of course). Just because “look at us we are multi cultural…” In fucking Space? Who cares.
Even the Force Awakens made you think Finn was the Jedi in the trailers and marketing. Then they bait and switch to the female lead.
