Never had problems with that normal, f.HK instead going over lows… Jin did what you’ll Juri players did on a daily basis and I don’t agree with none of you.
Our sets the other day were pretty intense, except that you were deliberately gimping yourself by not using V-skill. So shhhh you’re far from the worst here.
@KingCrimson sorry for the lag. I can tell you a few things are doing wrong in the Nash match up.
Do not throw fullscreen grounded fireballs when Nash has V-Trigger. Thats begging for a teleport punish. Nash can also teleport behind you then fall infront you when you are glued close to corner as a mix up something sto look out for.
You gotta work on your anti airs launcher V-Skill and St.hp palm are your friends. Your Shoryuken is also buffed in its defensive uses in V-Trigger mode aswell.
You got for overheads a little too often sometimes you would give up your turn to try for an overhead instead of continuing pressure or mix throws into the equation. Gave me chances to cr.lk x cr.lp x sonic scythe
Mix in some light block strings strings and mid pokes every now in then too. Gotta check the incoming dashes and not let me walk you back when you can help it.
I remember when at wrestlemania 3 andre and big show kept flicking their fingers at each other but andre kept winning the exhange so big show tried to headbutt andre’s fingers.
I think ibukis st.hk is actually one of the easier buttons to deal with.
Anything that moves the characters hurt box forward is much different from a stationary heavy ( like say birdies sweep etc) where you have to be standing inside the danger zone to even get near a whiff punish.
With those forward moving ones, like slides, you can actually old school position yourself just outside of their reach and watch for it. Slides , eds St.hk, ibukis, etc - all pretty easy to counter.
I was gonna respond to Zio, but this will work instead.
It doesn’t really have enough utility to worry about nerfing. I’m playing Juri vs Lord’s Ibuki now and he uses it occasionally, but it’s nothing to worry about.
Thanks! You gave me a few things to work on, and not just MU related stuff, but I never seem to look at what my opponent’s meter situation is like. I really need to try to look at it once often.
Yeah, my AA’s have been pretty crappy since I switched to stick. I find B+HP xx DF Palm is probably his best and fastest AA, but I can’t seem to get the cancel timing down on the stick. I am also not quite as accurate with DP’s yet, though I’m getting better.
You are certainly right about the overheads and lack of pressure, block strings, and throws… Even pokes too, right now I rely too much on c.HP. I didn’t do his c.MP’s or c.MK’s nearly enough, and I should probably buffer s.MK’s in the neutral as well. Thanks again!
Let me know when you upgrade your connection next week. I’m down for playing again and will work on your tips in the meantime.
