I donāt get why people cry about Abigail when we have characters like Guile around, dude has top defense and one of the best offense in the game with no real weaknesses making characters like Nash and Ryu completely obsolete and on top of that he has probably a top 3 VTII
Best offense? Nah. VT1/2 are good for sure, but mounting a comeback with them? I doubt it. He doesnāt get 50/50s off either activation. Theyāre just solid VTs.
Guile has a working hurtbox. Not saying I like facing him but at least I know when Iām able to hit him and when Iām not.
He also doesnāt have a comeback V-Trigger, at least not in the same way Abigail does.
Rashid, Abigail, Cammy, Menat and Laura. Their VTs are good comeback mechanics.

as much as I despise Abigail in its current state Iād rather have a character thatās bullshit but with some exploitable weaknesses and some really bad MUs than a character that wins just beacause he has overall better stuff than everyone else and one gameplan that works against 98% of the cast.
Sure he might not have an aegis but his VTII complement his style so well that Iām not even sure he will be better off with Urienās amazing VTI.
Whatās the point in playing Nash and Ryu when he just have an higher power level of the same shit?

I can see where youāre coming from, Iāve been saying the same thing about Chun and Menat but thatās just the way SFV works. Itās so limited in features that it pretty much only has like three or four character archetypes which in turn means the best character per category makes everyone else redundant to a degree. Why play Alex when you can play Abigail? Why play FANG when you can pick Dhalsim? Why use Chun when thereās Menat? And why pick Ryu when you could use Akuma?

Menat is pretty strong but she also have very exploitable weaknesses. I think the range of her soul spark and her VT should be touched a bit.
I would make her VT1 a 3 bars VT and reduce the range on her explosion move by a bit, just so that the placement of the orb would matter more.
My mind only saw the Mena part of Menat and somehow I replaced the t with RD. Mustāve seen that win in an alternate reality for a second. Oh well.
Im 100% positive we were saying she had a ridiculous 2 bar trigger a long time ago. I even talked about her exploding orb like the first week on season 3. Gotta get those complaints in early.
But even with those sheās still a pretty good way down the list as far as having retarded/needs to be nerfed shit. But i suspect sheāll get more haters because she isnāt playing the meta aside from vtrigger and not just any top player is going to be able to play her
Yeah her V trigger is definitely way stronger than most other 2 bars and the orbs are essentially like defensive combo breakers. I guess it just barely makes sense because her only defensive maneuvers are 3 frame light, tech throw/defensive throw, a very punishable v reversal, backdash and super (meaning she has to burn v meter more than others), but itās definitely an OD trigger regardless. Sheās one of those characters where the first trigger is so good, that even if the second one was good it wouldnāt matter. I donāt think anyone will ever use her second trigger. Itās pretty much Viper Ultra 2 status.

Of course the moment she pulls wins she is catapulted to the stratosphere of the tier list, yeah lets nerf her and keep those other retarded characters going that is gonna be good amirite
