i am not sure if simple is the right word but gameplay wise it seems there is not a lot of variety in term of how you can play the game. there are " complex" assist strings and stuff but at the end it seems to favor rushdown/agressive playstyle much more then lets say keepaway or zooning game. i might be wrong because i have not seen many high level player matches and can just talk about my own experience so far but when you can even lock someone down and force him to guess 2-3 mixups because he actually just blocked a jab from you. when thats at the end the meta for the game i dont see myself going deeper in due to me not favoring this kind of playstyle. but its still to early for me to make a final judgement call.
I hope Capcom at the very least puts qualified and talented in-house modelers and animators on Sagat.
Blanka, just like Sakura, is certifiably awful outsourced trash. While his nostalgic costume is a slight improvement, his animation is just plain woeful and does a poor job of conveying heft, power and movement combined with low-rent mo-cap work. It’s pretty clear that Season 3 is no different in quality from the shovelware that came before and continues to be doled out to lowest bidder art-farm studios Streamline Studios (Malaysia) and Volta (Canada).
I think it would be a tragedy were Sagat to be treated this way. He’s been anticipated since day one of this game’s release and deserves to be handled right. The partnership with Streamline and Volta needs to go as the quality is not up to standard. It’s criminal that Capcom no longer do this work in-house as to many, their stylistic art direction and animation is what people loved about them and to see that quality clearly continue to drop since SFV’s release is woeful. To see Sagat subjected to this would be a huge disappointment.
i don’t know where to begin. I’ve had an interesting past 24 hours. Some information has been brought to my attention that pretty much changes everything i thought i knew.
I don’t really want to speak on it before i look up more information and get more facts, but deep down in my gut i know its true.
I’ll just say this. If you identify yourself as “black” or “african american” do some research on your history. Not the shit in texbooks, those are controlled by the powers that be. Your real history that isn’t openly known and is being kept from you.
