I remember when another forums I used died
It’s never fun
I think the forums are far more valuable than the front page. On the front page is a lot of stuff like:
“Hey Vesper posted a video, here’s the link. Oh, a tournament is going on… started two hours ago, here’s the link.”
There’s a wealth of knowledge in the tech talk forums, character subforums, game specific forums, etc., etc., etc. To see all of that wiped away is quite sad. And honestly the front page doesn’t offer anything that you can’t find elsewhere. Using Twitter and Discord and shit aren’t the same, and are quite poor ways of archiving information.
This blows.
Discord killed the character forums and now the information being disseminated is worse.

Honestly, this hit me like a punch in the gut. Back in 2010 when I truly got into fighting games I came here to check out the MvC2 archives to start learning how to actually play, and then moved on to the domination articles and ST and 3s information. When I truly got into SF4 and tournaments this place was not only a great help in terms of character and matchup information but the place where I found my local scene and I truly learned how to understand fighting games over here, I don’t think I’d be half the player I am today if it wasn’t for this place and for that I’m thankful.
This leaves a big gap in my daily life that I don’t think will be filled out by reddit or discord but I’ll still hang around since even at it’s worst SRK is still a pretty good community, all things considered.
Already joined discord but I’m aware it’s Just not the same 
Upon hearing this news I Just started feeling Guilty that I left the place for over a year without notice, thing was I thought I spent too much of my time in here and I wanted to give a little room to myself to try to do other things I wanted (and granted I did accomplish to become better at drawing thankfully, still have to be consistent with schedule and I still have a Desire of doing digital art for so long).
All of you are awesome peeps, hopefully at least discord can keep us connected and maybe we could find another forum to serve a similar function to this good place
