Apparently they’re trying to setup a SRK subreddit. I don’t like it because on reddit the threads you see are only the one upvoted every day and you can’t really shitpost freely in the same thread. Also we’d probably get stormed daily by people from r/Kappa upvoting their own threads with SFV hate and naked anime waifus.
Guess I’ll have to suck it and join the discord.

Man I feel old right now. I remember when forums were new and exciting. You could find people with your same interests, bond over said interest, and then end up bitterly hating them because they slightly deviate from what you think is right.
I’m gonna try to be more active until this place goes under. I’ll probably never join another forum again.

i guess i wasnt imagining things when i said the sub forums for SFV and MVCI were dead, theres so many dead threads that should be deleted seriously they dont have to shut the while forum down

It’s a sign of the times really. Forums have too much reading and relatively genuine socializing in this age. I thought we would last longer, and that we were different. Apparently the higher ups think otherwise. This is a real shame. Truly. We could’ve been included in trying to keep this site afloat. No harm in opening up donations to foot the server bill.
It’s a text chat server with separated rooms (think of IRC). Voice chat is integrated but optional.
how do we know times weren’t tough in 2013 for the forums? maybe we had a few extra years thanks to the SRK guys but didn’t even know it. So it’s kind messed up to the say FUCK WHOEVER MADE THE DECISION HE SHOULD DIE, you know?
We should go to Eventhubs’ forums. I’m sure the SRK board would be pissed. And besides, Capcom look for feedback there.
