I agree that there’s definitely some more variety in the lockdown assist category though Kid Buu and Beerus stand out to me as appearing to allow for greater mix-up opportunities. I would also, and this is sort of an open ended question, but has there ever been a team style game (i.e. and Mahvel game, Skullgirls, etc.) where DP type assists weren’t good?

He fought hit to a draw the 2nd fight no definitive winner. In the first fight it’s 100% clear he never stood a chance against hit as hit was holding back the whole fight.
He got the killshot on frieza when vegeta already beat him on “the runback”

Frieza has a new form, he didn’t lose - Frieza was just stated to be stronger but unable to maintain his new form. It was technically a draw, neither could win outright until Frieza was completely drained.
Frieza turned Golden and it was a Namek replay. Sorbet shot him in the back near the end.
So basically Goku lost to fucking Sorbet.
Fit Buu ringed him out. Convincing as fuck too. Bodied for free.
So to the people who know a little bit about DBZ fighter. I have beyond negative interest in the series, it is well documented that i think that Dragon Ball is dumb AF.
