Anime influenced isnāt the same thing as anime.
Avatar The Last Airbender is anime influenced but has significantly better story telling, dialogue, character development, etc than basically any anime. At least any that Iāve seen.
As an avid fan myself of manga and anime Iāve hard time to watch this new gen works. I think the golden era of them (early '80s until the end of '90s) will remain unmatched. Now to shock the mass you need to overuse splatter scene or over-sexualized scene out of context. Whatever,maybe Iām just getting old.

That Berserk gif triggered me so fucking hard.
I wish they just would have left it at the unfinished anime. It was a fierce case of blue balls but at least it was decently well made (and had funny ass outtakes).
