Nah thatâs cool. Iâm glad I played Ibuki long enough for you to adapt to her. I could tell you were learning stuff even in the Ibuki mirror.
Now I gotta learn stuff about Ed and come back stronger LOL. You play Ibuki pretty fine. What a lot of people donât understand about Ibuki is that you donât have to go willy nilly until you hit someone with her. You have how she works fundamentally, you just need to learn her combos and set play after you hit someone. Like if someone dialed in all the combos and mix up after you hit someone with Ibuki youâd probably be in Diamond. You play the way you should play Ibuki, not the âI donât know whatâs going on and canât play footsies so Iâm going to command dash or j.MK inâ Ibuki that is most of the ones online. Unless you get to about Diamond or Super Diamond thatâs the way most of them play. They try to play neutral for a bit and as soon as that doesnât work they start doing fake neutral/block stun scrambles and hope you donât have reactions/know the matchup.
The character is pretty damn honest until you hit somebody with her and thatâs the way you should play her as a lot of her neutral scramble stuff is unsafe or has a way to get around it if they know the matchup. Ibukis like Yukadon and Xian mostly just sit in neutral until they hit you with something. If you have good footsies you can land a hit and then the mix up is free. No point scrambling with fake stuff to maybe get a hit unless your opponent doesnât know how to fight Ibuki. Iâd rather do mix ups after thereâs nothing you can do than do mix ups where you can mash anything and win if you see it or know itâs coming.
But overall though I know that Ed fits your style better and he doesnât have as much post combo option tree, hold button, tiger knee reset stuff so thatâs easier for your play. You can just focus on neutral which is good.

Yâall ever have a good day connection-wise until you come across that teleporting fuck? This randomly happens to me. All games had minimum lag, then this supposed 5 bar connection guy I play would make the screen shake violently. After that, itâs like every battle with others went downhill. The contagious jackass spread his lag-flu to me through our fight and it never went away until I logged out of the server and back in. That shit was annoying.
