for those of you trying to maximize damage out of TAC after senton bomb, after S, you can actually do IMMEDIATE (almost like an instant air) M, H, S, and then senton bomb ->TAC, and you will be able to land this midscreen. give it a try.
i tend to like to do c.H (slide) into S after the TAC whiffs because sometimes the enemy gets reset over my head after c.M when i go for c.M, c.H, S. but that’s just preference (and bad execution), and to maximize your damage you’d go for c.M, c.H, S after TAC
I’ll have to give these a try. I may swap from She-Hulk,Chun, Ryu. To She-Hulk, Sent, Ryu because I’m having a hard time with keep out and run away teams. She-Hulk has trouble getting accross the screen, and while Chun has the air dash to help in getting to them her health is too low and she can be killed by chip. Level 3 X-Factor Ryu has saved my bacon numerous time but this strategy isn’t going to cut it for long, I think.
Im starting to find clothesline much more useful. Has anyone been successful at using torpedo to dodge projectiles? I vaguely remember loooong time ago it could dodge them.
I don’t get how they expect you to do a Down Down and then press Forward+Light. Anyways, I seem to be getting hit out of it… maybe it’s timing?
For spammers a quick super jump Senton usually wins out or trades, and if we’re talking about lightning legs here, it will be in your favor.
The super armor on the clothesline will only absorb one hit, so in all probability it will not help for Clothesline (considering you’re going head-first into legs), but will likely help in getting the Senton hit in (considering that with relative ease you’re likely to connect with her head). Also having an asisst with a projectile or invincible startup can help tremendously against spam rush. I prefer alpha-Haggar, but Ryu’s Shoryuken and similar uppercuts, anyone with guns, Doom Missiles or Rocks and the like can really help in this department or dealing with spam Chun or Skrull.
I just spent about 5 min testing in training mode trying to Crossover counter TACc, but it never happened. I’m trying both timing :d:+:s: (same command as I TACc with) and holding :d: and mashing :s:. Unless I’m missing something you can’t Crossover counter it. Though as I did say before, if you do the initial sj.:h::s::d::h: fast enough, you can actually hit Sentinel with the TAC instead of the cancel, it may be possible on other characters too, I didn’t bother to test, and that may be what you’re countering. It’s possible I’m missing something though, try it our with record function and let me know.
Also, Adding in the air string before the TACc doesn’t add damage, it actually takes it away because of damage scaling, same with adding s. after the TACc. More hits doesn’t always = more damage.
Some examples:
c.:h::s: sj.:h::s::d::h:, TACc, s.c.:h::s: sj.:h::s: OTG torpedo does 495.9K. Most hits, least damage.
c.:h::s: sj.:h::s::d::h:, TACc, c.:h::s: sj.:h::s: OTG torpedo does 497.5K. Less hits, slightly more damage.
c.:h::s: sj.:h::s::d::h:, TACc, c.:h::s: sj.:h::s: OTG torpedo does 501.7K and is to date AFAIK, the highest damage combo from that starter without using hyper (or tacking on a run cancel flashkick). The same thing happens when you start with command grab or jumpins too, and in fact it scales more because of previous hits.
Though She-Hulk is rarely left as me last character I was practicing X-factor torpedo into Emerald canon combos and Taking out the Trash kept coming out.Even when I look at the input display it makes no sense. Is my execution just of somehow?
I think you’re doing it too fast there. I had the same problem, then I noticed that it was probably still remembering the last :f: from the Chariot run command and thinking that to be the first part of a DP motion, even if you manage to do a smooth :qcf: afterwards. Delay it slightly so that the previous motion falls off its memory and it does a clean super.
Man that’s rough. At least I’m landing more and more of the combo as days go by. I ran into another She-Hulk that consistently hit OTG torpedo into Emerald Canon and it kind of wrecked me. I’m trying to hit the grab resets but I just end getting hit out of it. Am I throwing it out too soon? Also I saw J Wong air throw someone when they air tech’d forward. I tried that but just ended up booting them in the face. Is that character specific?
I remember seeing a normal jump loop in a pre-release video and I’ve been trying to replicate. All I can come up with is torpedo, kfc, [j.B,j.B,j.C] Does anyone know anything like that I’m hoping theres a more decent set up.
Oh and I just took it for granted that you could only do one OTG per combo like mvc2 but I gather from the last couple pages that because of hitstun scaling they just let you run wild? I know one of the mission mode things (zero if I recall) you have to double OTG at one point.
just fyi otter, you can do that without x factor, if you watch the emerald loop video from trag13, you can actually do a torpedo, do the chariot cancel, hit forward to run, then S to stop running, then do an instant air j.B, and you can start a loop with j.B, j.H, j.S
Nice! Thanks for that combo. I’m trying to run Shulkie mostly meterless, so this is awesome for a BnB.
It’s not that hard either once you get the hang of it.
Are you guys finding that TACc combos will miss on certain characters mid screen? For example, I can never land it on Tron mid screen. The corner works though. Is it just me? I guess we’ll eventually need a list of characters it doesn’t work on mid screen if this proves to be true.
I probably not doing the TAC right but everytime i hit :d::h: it nvr connects, and knowing that this is something viable for Shehulk can someone make a thread about her TAC thx… Oh An can someone help me out here…
BTW TACc is it just doing the TAC an canceling it with watever :l: :h:?
Same thing was happening to me. The problem is you are not going back to neutral after you press forward to start the run. Make sure to go back to neutral before going to down.
Went in the lab for a while, since I’ve heard it’s uncounterable but I have been countered several times. This is what I’ve found.
It seems, at first glance, that the window to counter the TAC is so small, it might be as small as 1 frame.
Go to Training, pick She-Hulk, set P2 record and P2 Playback Reset to two buttons and try countering yourself. The window seems to be as follows: before the Senton hits, the opponent is on his back from the sj.:s:. As soon as the Senton hits, the opponent is now face down. The next immediate frame is the flash for the TAC, and it seems that as soon as that flash is done, but before the opponent’s head hits the ground from the Senton, is the frame to look for.
Not only is it difficult (mashing the correct direction + :s: near the frame helps), but since the TAC can be done with :u: as well as :d: ( and :f: hit), let me just say the opponent might as well be screwed.
Not related: If She Hulk is starting, and your third character has an aerial level 3 or a level 3 that can hit OTG, you can most likely kill Sentinel as soon as the match starts.
Grab, X-Factor, :d::d:+:s:, :f:, , c.:h:, :s:, sj :uf:, sj.:h:, sj.:s:, mash sj.:d:+:h:, TACc, c.:h:, :s:, sj :uf:, delay sj., sj., sj.:h:, TAC into second character, combo, TAC into third character, finish. Depending on which TACs used and on the amount of hits, you can finish with the level 3 and end Sentinel. Some require a bit more work than others.
Example: TAC into Haggar, sj., sj.:h:, TAC into Morrigan, sj., sj.:h:, :qcb:+:s:, j.:l:, j., j.:h:, :qcf:+:h: cancel into :qcb:+:atk::atk: is 1.6 million and as written doesn’t need to :f: or :d: the TAC.
TAC into Thor, immediately TAC into Arthur, sj., sj.:s:, land, OTG :dp:+:atk::atk: needs one of the TACs to be either :f: or :d: but does 1.4 million.
TAC into Wesker, sj., sj.:h:, TAC into C. Viper, sj., sj.:h:, :qcb:+:h:, land :dp:+:atk::atk: does 1.58 million with no need for :f: or :d: TAC
i’ll be working on that XF she-hulk tutorial vid this week. trust me, with lvl1 XF, no meter and no character tags, she-hulk can kill any character off just about any hit confirm at the start of the match. there are so many easy set-ups, it’s ridiculous.
