The Sensational She-Hulk #1: Haters Went Wild

yo bronze now with the assist videos out what do you think will be good for a get in assist.

Probably better to ask UltraDavid since he’s actually played her.

Apparently Doom rocks are still really good. Otherwise projectile assists are typically good. However I really can’t say which will be the best since they all have different properties and priority. I think Iron Man’s unibeam assist will be solid though. I’m hoping Hulks Gamma Wave will be good as well, but that’s mostly because I plan on having him on my team.

I mentioned it before, but I very much want to see if her torpedo or :d::h: slide will be a legit way of getting around alot of projectiles. Those paired with a teammate’s projectile assist might make things alot easier…at least I hope so.

Question: I know OTG means “Off the ground” but what does he mean by 2C not OTGing? Is he trying to say that you can’t use 2C when your in the air?

also is the only way of building meter in this game to hit the opponent? (whether there blocking or not) or can you just spam specials to do so as well (like in SF4)

UltraDavid, or anyone who’s played her:

Is her normal AA throw (:qcf::m:) any good against jumping attacks? I know her super version is good, but I’ve yet to see people use the normal one. Sometimes Capcom gives characters some really crappy AA throws that get stuffed by jumping attacks. I’m kinda expecting hers to be like that (I’m expecting the worse lol), and I think its best use will be in resets. However I’d be very happy if it’s a legit AA throw against attacks as well.

Dias4Flac:
OTG means that her :d::h: slide will be able to hit people who are on the ground. I don’t think it’ll hit people who are laying on the ground, but I’m not 100% sure. We know that her torpedo attack can hit OTG though. Also, yeah the only way to build meter is to hit the opponent. You’ll also build meter when the opponent is hitting you. You can’t whiff normals or specials to build meter.

EDIT:

Psycho Josh here are the supposed health tiers:

I’m hearing that She-Hulk actually has the third highest health in the game. Fuck yeah.

So much for vagina tax, talk about trend setting females.

It’s legit! It has nice horizontal and vertical range and beat the jumping attacks I tried it against. I didn’t try it very often or against very many air attacks so maybe it loses to some, but I can tell you that it did do well when I used it. But it’s also really good in awesome mixups like, cr L to ground grab or antiair grab mixup so that the opponent can’t get an attack out in time and just has to guess.

but how bad is the whiff animation? If it’s bad then you are just taking the same risk they are.

It’s not bad. If you guess right you can take off 2/3 of some characters’ lifebars (with day 1 combos, I’m sure there are more damaging ones to find) or reset them into another mixup if you want, although some characters can also deal a ton of damage to you even with the short whiff. But something I’d like to try here is to cancel a whiffed command grab into super. Actually, holy balls that could be awesome (theoryfighting time). Input ground command grab qcf+L then dp+Ats for antiair super, so ground grab option select antiair grab super: if they stay grounded, great, you get the grab and you can’t cancel it to super because you’re already doing the grab smack, but if they go airborne, you cancel into antiair super. And vice versa, antiair command grab os ground grab super. Man, how rad slash extremely stupid would that be?

Great news dude thanks. This’ll actually make it even more more dangerous in resets if the opponent doesn’t have a reliable air attack to hit you out of it.

Really fucking awesome idea. :wow: I completely forgot about option selects! I hope it works.

I had another idea for an option select but it’s not shulk specific. Basicly it’s an inescapable meatie where you do an attack+x factor, and if your opponent reversals you can spot it during the flash and defend. If they get hit you get an easy hit confirm. If they block, you get a frame advantge mixup. So the worst case senerio is that you get a tick throw attempt.

bronze- how’d i know you were gonna be all up on my character, as usual!

Not sure if anyone has mentioned her HP yet, but it’s 1,150,000. This is the sixth highest in the game.
From Here: TheDuskwalker’s Blog: Marvel vs. Capcom 3 character health ratings.

hahahaha dont worry man. I’ll pull my Keyser Söze act in 3 months. You can have her back then

lol your too late this time mate.

I am glad that She-Hulk’s HP is higher so it would allow few people made mistakes before losing the game. :stuck_out_tongue:

(Updated the OP)

She-Hulk’s health should be higher. That’s kinda what Jen powers do for her. Super strength and resilient body. lol I’m tired of all the ladies getting the Capcom treatment of low health.

I’m surprised Jen didn’t get a pheromone power-up considering her track record in the comics. lol

I’m planning to team her with hsien ko and Shuma and hope for gong assist/mystic smash madness. if no gong then just go with mystic stare. I have no clue who to sub in before Shuma drops though.

What are you talking about? Shes got just slightly lower health than the hulk, which would make sense since the hulk is stronger and more resilient, and higher health than all but 4 guys, I fail to see how this is capcom giving her low health.

Doesn’t mean higher than what it is, but she was one of the people guaranteed to have higher health. Being just a tier below Hulk is perfect.
