L2 Is no longer for Hero mode, or whatever. It controls your ally commander. More in depth than just pressing select in previous games.
L1+R1 now uses the gauge by the portrait. Not entirely sure what it does. Seems kind of Seiei Enbu-esq. Can do Ultimate Basara in it, it seems.

And oh my god, Mitsunari can do L1+Triangle and R1 in the air. There was a glitch in 3 where you could do the teleport in uneven terrain or something like that, and his R1 could come out in the air. It’s cool that you can do it for real now.[/details]

Even though that is more than likely counting CPU characters, I still expect at least 30 playable characters. I’m really excited for this.
Now, Capcom, just announce online co-op and tag mode. Online co-op is what I want most.

At TGS, Capcom showed gameplay for Goto Matabei and Li Naotoro. They both look pretty fun. I don’t see any video for Li up yet, though I recorded it, so I could upload it at some point if no one else does.

edit: Someone translated the mechanics video. I THINK every character has access to all 3 of their R2 attacks at one time, since you switch between them with L1+R2.

And Hideyoshi vs Ieyasu. That cutscene should be pretty dope.
The whole story of the game is going to be cool. I can’t wait to see who all return too.
I saw a tumblr post talking about this game being an alternate reality (Citing Ieyasu not being a kid while Hanbei is around) and that “apparently, no two playthroughs of any one story mode will be the same unless you so choose to make it so”. Should be a pretty great game.
Never played a Sengoku Basara game; any available on PC, whether it is through emulation or an actual port?
None of the games were ever ported to the PC. However, the first 3 games (1, 2, 2Heroes) are all on PS2.
SB3 and SB3Utage are on the Wii. Take that as you will.
Appreciated, I legally obtained Utage and am having a ball. It feels like Dynasty Warriors but even more fun.
