Basically showing the improvements of the SB3 original cast…
fucking tight PHANTOM DIVE IS BACK, as well as Chousokabe’s stun taunt move. Super glad Tsuruhime has another melee special now too, definitely needed that. Looks like Fuuma’s air grab and drop kick are two different moves now maybe?
Also didn’t see this earlier:

Survival mode it looks like, VERSUS MODE IS BACK(please be online)!, unique enemies, very hard mode which seems to greatly raise enemy aggressiveness,
Seriously this is what Vanilla BASARA 3 should’ve been if it weren’t for the time constraint, at least that’s what I think.
It was the same thing with Basara 2 to Heroes. I agree, but shit I don’t care it was fun even without it, and it’ll be fun with it!
Got my shipping notification from Play-Asia early this morning. LET’S PARTY (in 2-4 weeks)!
Compared to SB1, SB2 was definitely much more of a complete game. And the sequel was basically another Capcom “test” to see if BASARA could truly become something viable as a franchise. Thankfully, fans and fangirls both saw to that, and the rest, as they say, was history.
Easily the thing that excites me the most is that SB3’s item crafting system is gone, and we’re basically back to a facsimile of the SB2/H item system. Even more than combos, I always thought what made BASARA so interesting was the way items can change the game almost entirely. And with Personal Items for characters back to being one slot items that can be bought at the shops (for like 500,000 gs), so that ideally means that I’ll be able to do some wild-ass combinations with items again.
Oh, and AmiAmi shipped my copy yesterday. Can’t wait to chop people up with Muneshige. 8D
I’m super jealous, I wish I had the cash to buy it right now, but alas, I don’t =/

Mitsunari is more beastly now…sigh.
lol, that item just makes Mitsunari easy mode. He could already cut the special attack animations anyway, that just makes it so you don’t need any sort of execution to do it. Kinda dumb imo.
^Fucking fantastic news

It’s like the more good things I hear about Utage, the more I dislike Capcom. :shake:
If you’re gonna divert you hate towards someone let it be Capcom USA; they seem more interested in getting Megaman back than letting you enjoy poledancing Kasuga and stampeding over mooks on your 2 giant horses LIKE A BAWS.
Capcom USA only has so much power, even there. Capcom JP are the ones who make the decisions, have the final say and all that.
So, you want someone to blame for why BASARA failed TWICE in the West? Look to Capcom JP, who were the ones who had the bright idea to turn the first game into “Devil Kings”, then basically did squat for the third game’s marketing push in the West and yet wonder why the game didn’t sell to whatever lofty expectations they had.
EDIT: Yet another thing a player has found:
“If you are Shingen and your bodyguard is Yukimura or 2nd Player is Yukimura, if you taunt he now screams ‘YUKIMURA!’. Since Yukimura screams ‘Oyakatasama!’, you can go back and forth :D!”
I decided to give in and get the Wii version so I can play it on both my laptop and Wii. :shake:
