Yeah I think she’s cute but I just unlocked her yesterday after beating it with Ieyasu. I generally don’t like young female characters but it depends. Some come off as cute and some come off as annoying. For me Tsurihime comes off as cute.
So far anyway. Maybe playing through her story mode will be so sweet it will feel like I have a cavity but we’ll see.
Dude…Nobunaga is no joke.
Took me 6 tries to beat him with Oichi, but I did.
Parrying that dash attack he does really helped.
His final resurrection was such a pain in the ass though. Had to run until he threw those orbs.
I was lucky, and was able to parry those orbs back at him.
I honestly think I got lucky the 6 time and beat him with a sliver of life left.
Okay…what am I doing wrong in getting Nobunaga?
I beat him with Oichi.
I played new paths with Fuuma, Mitsunari, and Yukimura.
I have yet to see this “grey” path that leads to Nobunaga…did I miss anything?
You don’t play new paths with those characters, you play the path that extends out form a path you have already done and it should be one section longer, so 9 stages instead of 8 like almost all the rest. For most characters it’s on their red path, just proceed as normal and always fight and beat Tenkai instead of Kobayakawa, when you get to stage 8, you should get a new option to fight Oichi, go there.
You can see it on the character’s stage layouts. One of their paths will have a little grey offshoot right before the last stage (normally at Sekigahara).
So basically…take the same path I oroginally took with the character?
I went through Fuuma’s red path again(battled the checked stages)…and still missed it.
Maybe it’s because I didn’t go after Tenkai at the time.
Nah, at the last stage, it’ll give you a notification that there is something strange happening in Honnoji, or some shit like that. You’ll have the option to do the normal last level, or to do the level in Kanegasaki.
With Fuuma, his grey path is a offshoot from the Blue (Tsuruhime) path. You’ll choose that level instead of Osaka - Tiger Summer.
Yeah, I finally beat him last week. Need to go through Masamune’s story mode and take him down for the unlock!
…maybe after killing a few more fugitives, though…
I liked Tadakatsu. He’s one of the few characters I actually had fun using.
GeesePants- at the battle/map menu select ‘Guide’ it’ll show you which path leads to the grey path.
Come on people this is basic stuff!
Oh and I’m beating Nobu on Easy mode with everyone now :V
I found that out last night…going to use Fuuma for the task.
I never bothered looking at the guide before.
Need help getting these stages:
Battle of Sekigahara - Strongest, vs. East (Ieyasu)
Noshima Castle Pirate Battle, vs. Chousokabe (Motochika)
Who do I need to unlock them…what path?
Motochika stage can be done with Tsuruhime on the path where she “races” him, but I don’t remember how to make it show up. I’m not sure on the first one, I need it as well actually, if it’s what I think it is
IIRC, if you choose to fight Shimazu towards the end of Tsuruhime’s blue path, Motochika will “jump” over the strait and take possession of Noshima, thus letting you achieve that rare stage. I think it comes up in of the Naoe paths (Shimazu or Tadakatsu’s, don’t remember) and one of Masamune’s secondary paths…
It’s also on Tadakatsu’s unlocked path after you beat the game with him.
Got all the stages…finally.
Got Motochika’s alt stage via Honda’s supreme path (fuck using Tsuruhime)
And Ieyasu’s “Ultimate” stage can be unlocked via Keiji’s Blue path.
Now I’m gonna see if I can get ALL materials…I’m short about 5 or so.

I had the game for a few weeks (bought it off a friend) and it’s been a blast.
It actually only took me one chance to beat Nobunaga with Oichi in her story mode on Hard, but I had to zone that ass out. Getting her to reach all the bases in time is a fucking trap so don’t even worry about it. She’s slow as shit to run with. Vs. Nobunaga is ass when you get to this 3rd or 4th reincarnation and up. I never liked Oichi’s playstyle but it certainly grew on me when I was going through her story mode.
The special art that is required to fight Nobunaga is Lifeless Song (final art). If life is too low, just run away if he goes Demon King. Then, use her L1+Triangle move (forgot the name). He’ll super armor through SOME of it, but not all of it. When he does, summon Lifeless Song and rush it down but keep at a safe distance so you won’t get hit. If you parry a move of his, do the same thing. It actually combos.
Nobunaga is so OP it’s not funny at all. You get all his skills at a really early level (like 35-40) and they’re all broken in some sort of fashion. Double-Barrel usually says “no” to alot of shit and DK Mode is an enemy crowd controller on cocaine. I honestly haven’t had any more fun with him than day 1 Shuriken Fuuma or when I finally got that emo Mitsunari special (the one where he just runs over everything when he runs).
If it’s anything like Battle Heroes, it’s going to suck HARDCORE. That game was horrible.
From the title I think it may feature more characters from past SB games, but use SB3’s gameplay. In this case they may pick characters that would play differently than already existing characters.
So has anyone gotten the platinum for SB3 yet?
