The Sengoku Basara series Thread: NO POLEDANCING KASUGA FOR YOU!

^ Can the horse break through those barriers? I know you can break through them in other parts of the stage (to get the large chest).

And Geese Pants, each fugitive is worth 10,000 XP. Killing things in Hero Mode gets you x2 experience, which is where the 20,000 comes from.

yeah I think it’s 60 points. Edit: or 50 rather, as stated above lol

Fuuma is amazing, but you need to get his 2nd R2 first, and then you need to equip the locust items(high damage when in the air). With that stuff he becomes VERY dangerous and incredibly fun to play. He actually is a little more difficult to learn to play in the first place because he plays differently than the rest of the cast.

yeah, that’s how you reach him.

Aha, I had no idea that there were horses on the level. Thanks!

That’s cool. I lucked out once and found a fugitive on Noshima, but didn’t really understand what the item he dropped did.

Think I’ll only hunt for the ATK+ ones. Hard mode is more than manageable with decent 5th tier weapons. If I boost the character’s base strength, maybe I can run with 1st or even 6th tier weapons. Never been a fan of “joke” weapons.

Tsuruhime is how Inahime and SSX should’ve been done. With the latter two I always had to resort to their more powerful melee attacks/charges as killing with just arrows was tedious & took too long. The Little Crane can easily wipe out units from far away, & timing/charging shots keeps things interesting.

Gren, you should play some SSX or Yue Ying in Dynasty Warriors 6. Her arrows were god tier in that game.

It’s been so long since I played DW6, but for some reason I remember SSX being pretty boring (like her basic S attack was a good arrow attack, but not much else was). And I remember Yue Ying being more of a melee char because of the blade on her arm-crossbow-thing. But again, it’s been years so I may be confusing myself.

EDIT: Yeah, I was confused. It was DW6 Empires where Yue Ying had the blade weapon. In vanilla 6 she was just a SSX clone :stuck_out_tongue:

Just got Tsuruhime’s first SA. It fizzles out over time, but it seems you can perpetually reset it by getting a just-frame charged shot. Now it’s gonna be a personal goal to clear a stage while maintaining that barrier.

So I tried to kill a Fugitive in Sorin’s memories stage, but after completing the stage I didn’t get any bonuses nor did a red circle appear in the stage’s icon in the selection menu. I was playing in Quick Battle BTW. i’LL play that stage again since I need one more bottle Item to make the Big Money Wallet Acc.

@ Gasaraki: I’m pretty sure the wall thing works on bosses, as the vid shows…your partner can iknock them out of it though. And Motonari’s PI prevents you from getting knocked around while setting traps, so…

@ Cryoh: Some characters (esp. Fuuma and Nobunaga, but others too) can jump over those barriers if you use their dash jump + s-string/skill button (depends on the character). Faster than getting the horse, IMO.

Hmm, I’ve never had a boss actually get stunned and knocked into the air by the mirrors. he’s so weak he never does enough damage for me to actually lift them off the ground. As for the PI thing, that’s 4 freaking slots. He shouldn’t need to use that too be good.

Yeah her first R2 is really good, it makes her specials freaking amazing, her ground string awesome, AND it guards against one hit automatically. Her 2nd R2 is great too, basically it fires a heartlaser and any enemy it hits cheers for you. While they cheer you re-gain Basara meter, what’s awesome about it is you regain Basara even when you’re actually DOING a Basara, so she’s the only character in the game that can literally do two basara’s in a row with that move.

I just got the Smooth Operator Trophy yesterday :lovin:
I was playing as Date on his 3rd route I think (why does he have so many?!) and played in Satake’s stage. I had rear line equipped with 4 green mantises. I thought I took damage in that stage even tho I tried to be careful and not get hit. Non the less, I got the trophy when I finished the route, even tho I didn’t expect to get it.
Best trophy I’ve ever gotten on a PS3 game ;.;

Nice. I ended up getting the trophy while grinding out The Last Stand with maxed-out Magoichi Saica to make my Rear Line.

Say what’s up with Kojuro being a nagging bitch? I’m KOing fools right and left, and he would yell at me to stay calm and keep my composure, or tell me that I need to act properly IN FRont of the soldiers.
…and if one of the camps I’ve controlled was taken by the enemy, he’d scold me for losing it.
I thought this guy was a bro?

EDIT: Is there any difference between the music in SB2 and SB2: Heroes?

I recently finished Kanbe’s route with Hojo…manly tears at that ending. It’s IMO, his best ending =)

Just started Ishida’s story, but failed to KO the fugitive in Saica’s stage orz oh well I’ll try again another day.
How do you use Ishida’s attacks? I’m not sure how to utilize his Special arts as well…

Once I’m finished with Ishida I’ll get Date’s story up til 90%, then I’ll 90% Ishida then move on to other characters :woot:

You’d have to play him to see why. He’s just overprotective, but he can actually get way more out-of-control angry than anyone lol.

I’ve made several posts on how to play ishida in this thread already, just look around for em

Munishige/Sorin stage is the funniest stage in SB3…Sorin is such a brat.

^Have you played in the 2nd Sorin stage? That one’s even funnier.

I thought the “Mo” in Motochika cadence was the funniest thing so far (Sorin & Hideaki’s stages were good too).

Tsuruhime’s butt drop (triangle in air) is too good. It’s a little hard to time & control, but you can totally get a Sonic the Hedgehog effect bouncing from enemy to enemy.

Just wondering…do the effects of accessories stack if using the same ones?

Unless the accessory specifies otherwise, then it should.

Rear Line + multiple Gold Mantis = LOL
