Hideyoshi and Hanbei died in the BASARA story. That was confirmed a while ago, and is actually the reason Mitsunari is so pissed with Ieyasu.
Damn, season 2 here, already? I remember this time last year talking about season 2. YAY.
Oh damn. I know some of my friends that I’m trying to put on Basara who ONLY know of Nobunaga and Hideoyoshi are going to be pretty pissed or probably disinterested now. Wow. So the badass “villain” this time is supposed to be Mitsunari??

Not really. If anything Ieyasu is kinda the “final boss” since he is the one that is going to unite everything and Mitsunari would be the hero but of course the stereotypical personalities for those roles are reversed in this case.
This game just doesn’t really have one of those characters as a main badguy this time it seems.
As of right now, there’s still the thing of how we may have yet to see at least ONE more character addition to the game. Possibly more, but that’s due to tricky language from the Capcom reps at E3.
Hisahide may not be “super fucking evil!!” like Nobunaga or even cite Raoh like Hideyoshi, but he is one smooth, Xanatos-style operator. Wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out he set all these leading up to Sekigahara for his own amusement. After all, there’s still the thing about about how Ieyasu supposedly attacked Motochika’s side of the hood, but such a thing doesn’t sound like the kind of thing that “goody-goody face puncher” Ieyasu would do on his own accord (especially since he and Motochika were supposed to be friends).
But in short, we need some one to be “Final Boss!” material. And if it’s not Hisahide, then really, who else is there?
Season 2 should have more of Kasuga’s ass…and tits.

It seems Amazon has updated the english release for SB: Samurai Heroes, pushing it back now to October 26, 2010. Looks like Dead Rising 2’s own push back has affected another release…

Any way, damn Kotaro looks even more awesome than ever. And Muneshige (chainsaw-dude) and Hideaki (fruity priest dude riding the Zabii tank) are awesome characters too…a pity they’re NPCs for now.
Is the chainsaw dude armless or are those attachments?

Those are weapons that he equips. On another note of random trivia, he’s voiced by Tetsu Inada (aka, Lu Bu’s JP voice actor in the Dynasty Warriors series). He probably is the one NPC I really wish was playable. Would have been a great way to make up for taking away my faves, Hideyoshi and Hanbei. :shake:
Any way! New season starts tomorrow! Dunno who’s in line to do the subbing honors, but I will be happy to see Hideyoshi punching some one in the face some time soon! :lol:
Yea “Chainsaw Guy” is badass. As well as “Tank Girl”. I’d welcome both in a Basara 3 Heroes for sure. Someone on YouTube said Zabi is off on a roadtrip or some shit and that’s why he’s not in SB3.
Here’s hoping last playable character is an older Mushashi. Epic and kinda silly in a good way, like Haohmaru from SamSho. Alot of you guys are importing this month right?

We start things up with a neat Yukimura vs Masamune showdown (with a Shingen/Kenshin duel on the side); only this time Masamune would have the upper hand till Hideyoshi came along. And they were no slouch exhibiting his monstrous strength nor size; Masamune was like a midget compared to him when he tried to attack. 
Also it seems like the Maedas (sans Keiji, who’ll likely play a bigger part this time around) and Motonari have joined Hideyoshi’s cause; while near the end of the episode Hanbei is trying to get Kojuro to join Hideyoshi’s army as a cliffhanger. A solid start.
And yes, Yukimura gets owned pretty bad in this ep not only from Masamune, but from his beloved Oyakata-sama as usual.
