Wow. Well I don’t have my modded ps2 anymore. Shit. Only played 5 minutes though, enough to see that hype ass intro, navigate some menus, finally select Kojuurou…and slice at 2 enemies. Lol. Hey maybe it’ll tide me over until SB3.

Not sure if it was his wife, but Keiji’s grudge against him was for killing a woman they both loved, I’m guessing that’s her.
Heeerm Mitsuhide as Tenkai…I wonder if that means he’s gone face or not…kinda hard to imagine this version of Mitsuhide pulling an about-face like that.

Can anyone clarify the historical origins of him and Itsuki? I know Basara series takes extreme liberties with characters and figures, but I’m inclined to think these are completely original characters.
As far as further speculation, Mitsuhide could very well be Tenkai. As sadistic as he is, the anime showed a somewhat humane side of him as he spoke to Nagamasa that time. It proved to be deception as usual, but still, maybe he could have sought out retribution as a different persona after a sound defeat.
Zabii is Francis Xavier, Itsuki and Kasuga are completely original to BASARA.
Mitsuhide has to be Tenkai, he has the same head, hair, and weapons.

Edit: also, about “Tenkai” I’m willing to bet in this game will be just as evil as Mitsuhide is, considering normally Mitsuhide is portrayed as a good guy too, yet in here he is isn’t. Seems to be just as likely for Tenkai to be evil in Basara lol

I don’t know why, but I’m gonna go against the grain and say Tenkai is flipside. The persona has to have SOME significance to this game/saga. If it’s just the same sick Reaper then they could’ve left him Mitsuhide, at least I think.
Sad…the characters I really wanted to play in SB3 as are either NPC’s or not in the game at all.

Basara anime’s 2nd season will premiere in July, taking over FMA Brotherhood’s timeslot. Looks like Hideyoshi is the main antagonist this time, as expected.

I find it funny that Johnny Yong Bosh is also voicing Yukimura in SB3.
I gotta admit, the over-acted English works really well in this game. I was worried it would suck, but it’s actually pretty awesome. Still hope they have the JP in though because JP Yukimura and Motochika are just amazing.
