Yeah, x does not fit perfectly with seimitsu. I managed to squeeze mine underneath the mounting plate.
Put the screw underneath the hole then try to screw the button from the top. A little odd, but it may work.
i already mod the mounting plate so now i dont have to worry doin x y z way. So i can put the button and screw and visa versa. It was no biggy just that i have big hands and its easier for me. Thanks for looking out.
I recently purchased an HRAP3SA and Iām not really liking Sanwa parts right now. I was just wondering how the PS-14-GN compares to the OBSF/N-30. I like the Sanwa buttons, but theyāre just too sensitive, so Iām thinking about switching to Seimitsu parts so Iād have more resistance, but I donāt really like the PS-14-KN (plus, theyāre a bit more pricier). Now Iām thinking about getting the PS-14-GN, but a couple things bothers me. What I really want to know is:
Does the PS-14-GN offer more resistance than the OBSF/N-30?
Do the two aforementioned buttons perform exactly the same (minus the resistance)?
Which has more resistance, the PS-14-GN or the PS-14-KN?
What exactly are the major differences between the PS-14-GN and the OBSF/N-30 (if not mentioned above)?
And Iād like to mention that I would prefer the GN because it has convex buttons, which was about the only thing I liked about the Sanwa buttons.
Sorry if this has been asked already, but thanks in advance for any help at all.
I have a question about the JLW. Does it feel ANYTHING like a JLF? Im not talking about the stiffness, Iām talking about the microswitches and the throw/engage.
I donāt like the throw and engage on the LS-32 and I donāt like the microswitches on it either (atleast not for fighting games)
Iām afraid of buying the JLW for my HRAP EX-SE because it uses the same style of levered microswitches as the Seimitsu joysticks.
Any help would be most appreciated.
I would also like to know the answer to the above question, but from what I have researched the difference is JLW uses levered microswitches while the JLF does not. My stick has a really old JLW in it and I want to know how ideal it is for fighters (i have heard JLW is the best stick for shumups and anything dealing with 4-way movement) compared to other sticks on the market (although I have gotten used to it)
I have read posts here of people expressing their dislike of the JLW, but no real explanation why, so I usually just assume that they are just not used to the stiff spring. I would also like someone who has tried both give a real explanation as to why the JLW is so much worse (I mean it canāt be that bad for fighters can it?).
Is there a way to shorten the spring on the LS -32 to make the stick more loose?
I donāt know about the GN, but if you never tried KNās, I got em and theyāre great. Seimitsu and Sanwa are both top quality parts. My bet is to just try it out. Sell those OBSF for a little money on the side or keep em as back up.
Going from JLW to JLF I really didnāt like the JLF when I first got it but I loved the JLW. I even tried the JLW with Cherrys and it felt like it took almost no force to engage the microswitches. The JLW was my first stick and I loved it, the only thing I hated was the circular gate but I changed it for the square and things were perfect. When I moved from the JLW to the JLF the JLF felt loose, like it was too easy to wobble around. I donāt really know why, maybe a larger deadzone? Maybe softer spring? In all honestly I found the JLW a bit smoother, softer and easier to engage but the JLF felt loose. Really hard to explain.
I got used to the JLF and now I like it but unfortunately my JLW stick is no longer assembled (still got the JLW though) so I canāt do a fair side by side. I went JLW to JLF so you guys might have different experiences going JLF to JLW or LS32 to JLW. Sticks and buttons are a PITA because there is are a lot of specifications collected on them but in the end itās all subjective. Also just because you want something stiffer and get a stick thatās stiffer you might still hate it.
And no, it felt nothing like a JLF but maybe it was because I wasnāt used to the JLF at the time? I still think there was a pretty noticeable difference.
I think it also depends on what you were used to playing with. I have a happ stick and am building another with a JLW. The two are pretty close, but the happ does feel a bit tighter. The levered switches donāt feel too bad (and if you really wanted to you could get levered cherry switches). Since I grew up on happs, the JLF just felt waaaaaay too loose for me. Iām sure with some practice I coudl get used to it, but since I donāt have to at the moment, I wonāt! (although I probably will build a JLF based stick just for kicks).
Itās all preference. True, it works for most of the top class players, but it may not work for you. At least we have a choice!
Well the other guy was going from a JLF to a JLW, I only have a JLW and have never tried a JLF, so I was just asking if I was wasting my time essentially lol. I guess I wonāt really know until I try a TE stick.
Additionally to me the JLW feels loose, contrary to what people have said about it. Which means that the JLF must feel even looser, which is crazy.
But, there is also the issue that the spring in the JLW I have looks nothing like in the pics, and resembles a JLF spring more than anything. (I posted this earlier in the thread)
Basically due to the different spring and less popular joystick, I have literally no idea if im playing on an absolutely awful stick or not.
I just wanted to check and see if there were such things as Sanwa OBSF-30RG button with black plungers. I checked Akihabarashop and they only have those type of Sanwa buttons in colors except black. I wanted to replace the color of the top to white ones and Iām not sure if itās possible if there arenāt any plungers that are black.
u can buy RS-SG Switch which r the same swith on obsf30 find the plunger u want & install gamingnow has the switches http://www.gamingnow.net/diy/other-diy/rs-sg-switch
Sanwa RS-SG Microswitches do not fit into Sanwa OBSN-30 or OBSF-30.
The Plungers of OBSN-30, OBSF-30 are different from OBSF-3-RG, OSN-30RG.
Where the Microswitch gets inserted is not the correct size for RS-SG to fit either.
Have to modify.

i have a seimitsu ps-14. how do i modify it so that itās a push to break switch. a different microswitch maybe?
I recently made a custom stick with Seimitsu screw-in buttons, but one of the buttons keep getting loose after playing a few days. I have already screwed them in as tight as I can make it but itās still coming loose⦠Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Try a new one.
modded my seimitsu buttons with gamingnow.net rs-sg sanwa switch and they are boss. anyone looking for the look of seimitsu with sanwa response get it.
hey guys, i just got a tvc wii stick and iām hating the joystick. i was thinking about buying a new spring and twisting it together with the old one. does anyone have a picture of the box of springs from home depot that is almost like a ls-56?
Hot glue it.
