Bush, that second dust washer is meant to rest on top of the mounting plate but under the actual control panel. You can consider it a “second line of defense” against any dust that might somehow creep past the first dust washer that rests on top of the control panel. This really only works since most control panels either have a mounting bracket or some other form of spacing which creates a small gap between the control panel and the JLF mounting plate. Since most Seimitsu sticks are mounted such that their mounting plates are resting flat up against the control panel, the dual dust washer thing might not work. But hey, I’ll still give it a shot once I get around to ordering new parts.
And Takahashi, thanks for that picture. I can actually see the differences thanks to your image. I guess next time I order, I’ll just have to pray I get lucky, huh?
have any of you guys bought any sanwa obsf-30s with a certain color w/ black trim? I bought some white buttons w/ black trim from akihabarashop and they feel very different from the ones on the SFIV TE stick. The ones on the TE stick feel more shallow and they respond faster. They also wiggle less because there is less room between the button and the trim. The springs in the OBSF-30s on the TE stick also feel alot firmer than the ones i bought from akihabara shop, any of you guys notice a difference between your obsf-30s and the one from the TE stick?
The TE stick has regular obsf-30s in them right?
I bought a Seimitsu LS-32-01 and I find that the dark blue restrictor gate feels a little choppy around the corners when adjusted to be a square gate. Can I just remove the dark blue gate and just use the square light blue gate? Or would this eventually wear on my stick?
Hi, does anyone know what scrrew size to use to mount a Ls-32-01 S plate? The hole size is 4.8mm which is slightly too small for a standard m5 screw but too large for the m4, which one do people normally use?
Sanwa JLF-TP-8Y
-Requires you to move it further in a certain direction in order to activate the microswitch (bigger deadzone)
-Has less resistance (weaker spring)
Seimitsu LS-32
-Requires you to move it less in a certain direction in order to activate the microswitch (smaller deadzone)
-Has more resistance (stronger spring)
Hi, I am looking to get some OBSF-30 and OBSF-24 buttons for my TE stick but I had a question about colors. First, when I go to lizard lick they list a color called “dark blue” but the picture shows purple. Is this a bad picture, am I color blind or is it just a wrong name listing? Second, is there no OSBF-24 in black or grey or does lizard lick just not carry them?
Thanks in advance for the help. I hope I am not asking a question that has been answered a billion times but I am sure I am. For what its worth I did try searching for a while but couldn’t find any definitive answers on shoryuken search or google search.
There are no 24mm black or grey Sanwa buttons. You will have to buy black Seimitsu if you need black.
The “dark blue” pics on LL seem darker and a little bit more purple than normal.
I enjoy using the seimitsu ps-14-gn buttons, they feel good to me, but ive noticed other makes for the button…
*ps-14-gn
*ps-14-gnc
*ps-14-gn-cp
Besides appearances, are there any differences in the feel of the button? Like the specs of the plunger height and that kind of stuff?
Also, how does the ps-14-kn feel compared to the gn’s? Im cursious, but too broke to buy some to test out.
