OK, so this years San Diego Comic Convention International is just a little over a month away now, so I thought I’d make a thread about it.

So who else is going?
I’ll be there for all five days including preview night. I’ll probably spend most of my time trying to get my portfolio seen by editors to try to land more freelance jobs. So that’ll probably involve a lot of walking around to different booths asking for reviews, and a lot of waiting around the portfolio review area. When I’m not doing that, I’ll probably be hanging out with my friends at the Savannah College of Art and Design booth, or sitting with my employers at the Viper Comics booth.
The first issue of my comic, A Dummy’s Guide to Danger, is scheduled to be premiering at the comic con through Viper Comics.
I’ll definately be hitting up the Udon booth to support them by buying some SF comics and merch. If the Capcom booth has an arcade cabinet there like they did last year, you can bet I’ll probably stop by there every so often to play a few games. And of course, there are a lot of special guests, panel disussions, and seminars to go see too.
So… anyways, I guess the point of this thread is to find out who’s gonna be there, because it would be pretty cool to meet some of you guys in person.
Woo a SDCC thread! I went last 2 yrs, and was never dissappointed. I hope to see a cabinet, too, at the Capcom booth. Last year on the first day they were playing HF I believe…I’ll join the fray if I see some dudes playing 3s. I’ll only be able to make it friday and saturday this year because I’m going to a Slayer show on the 20th. Man, I can’t wait…
I might attend as well. Maybe for the weekend cause I don’t really have any days off. Couple of my co workers got a table there and will be selling their book.
Most likely I will go for fun and to buy some comics and artworks. Maybe meet up with some of the cats on websites. Like you guys.
Idea of me going is all abstract right now. Hope I can go as I never been to sdcc before. Always been my dream to go though.
Woo, only days left until the con! It’s getting exciting. I don’t really want to post my cell phone number on the internet, so if any of you guys want to meet up while we’re down there, PM me, and I’ll hit you back with my number.
Also, I haven’t quite got it figured out yet, but I’m supposed to be working out a schedule with Viper Comics for when I’ll be sitting down at their booth to sign books and stuff. If you go to their booth and ask about it, they’ll probably have a schedule for when I’ll be there.
BanditChain360, Gammon, Fendygit, and I will probably be seen together a lot, since we’re good friends from college.
I only live down here so of course. 2) WTF?!! 1 day? you are Funny, seriously. If u go 1 day, u lose honestly. you’ll wind up retracing your footsteps only to realize, "SHIT!, I’ve seen these bitches/booth already, what the hel/ OH, a NEW booth; COOL !! -->>> announcer: the exhibit hall is now CLOSED or will be closing in 5 minutes. GAME OVER.
Anyway I actually got my airline tix straightened out finally.
