this is a cool idea, but tekken is in the bar area - will this work? what time does mvc3/super start? or more importantly, what time would streaming for those games start?
Yeah, I think streaming for events in the bar area might be a cluster, with us having to either move the streaming equipment, or change the areas where the tournaments are actually being held. I don’t want to interrupt the events for the sake of the stream.
yo just saw this, where my chicken and fries at Jesse? Gimme.
Sorry if I missed it (didn’t have time to look through all the posts) but is there going to be Mortal Kombat on the side again this time? Hope so. MK9 at TSR3 was fun. Thanks in advance for any helpful info on this!
Mike, something I was wondering was this though. You aren’t running until 8 essentially with tekken starting at 6 If tekken ran in the main restaurant area until either A) it finished or B) there were still hella people and needed to move, would it be easy to run it all in the restaurant?
Yea, Matt is going to run it most likely starting around 8-ish.
There isn’t enough space to run everything in the restaurant. If we tried to run Tekken there, then we wouldn’t be able to to start setting up for the other games early, and that would have a cascading effect. Super and Marvel would both start hella late, and given how many people enter those I don’t want that to happen.
FUUUUU…only other alternative that I would mention is me getting set up in the restaurant, and then whatever Tekken matches get streamed, they play in there? Since the system/setup will be there. IDK, I’ll be there for sure though.
Have a chance to talk to Chris yet?
Here at Best Bout we are happy to support this event, and will be bringing set ups and other equipment to help out. if you live in the NW and haven’t checked it out yet, it’s worth it. See everyone there!
Thanks BB for coming through with the setups.
I still need a couple more people to bring consoles/monitors.
Hi I’m new to this forum and I’m interested in going to this. When does this tourney usually finish? It’s just because buses usually stop running around 1230
Kind a last minute question, my bad lol
I’ve seen finals go from 12 to 3 am
So can we park in the garage and check our car in with the front desk like in the TW days?
Shouts out to the following line of thought: “Well, I’m out of the tourney. I should really get going, if I’m to make it home tonight. Ah… It’s raining, and I only have enough cash on me to take one bus, and the stop for the 545 is a mile away… Ah well, I’ll brave it anyway.”
Shouts out to forgetting that Seattle is made out of one way streets and the stop that got me here cannot be the stop that takes me back.
Shouts out to writing posts from my phone.
Stay free, Stark.
Real shouts out tomorrow.
Stark it was nice meeting you, I was Julian the Battle for Seattle guy.
Hope everyone had a good time, I had to bounce early.
GGs all. It was nice seeing you guys again. I just wanted to stop by and post a quick thank you to the event organizer for staying extra late tonight due to the stream. I know he was a bit stressed out about the event going on til really late tonight. I appreciate you sticking around and am really enjoying the tournaments so… THANK YOU!

thanks mike you did a hell of a job…ggs everyone!
great turn out great hype!
a few things:
please keep hype contained in the restaurant and outside please. i know its hard sometimes, but there are other people in the hotel.
and if there can be a few people who can help me start setting up the restaurant for breakfast that would be dope. those tables hurt after upper body workout saturdays ;/
thanks for coming and word on the street there might be good news about using the hotel for future big events.
shoutouts to mike and mike for streaming and running the events. to dugg and tony for helping me setup the restaurant. super joe for talking shit to frank. rat for beasting. yzae b for holding it down for oregon. and everyone else who helped make this event a success. see you negus in 3 weeks
