The Rurouni Kenshin Movie

I can’t find any torrents either. I so want to watch this again, Sano’s german suplexes have to be watched more than once.

Here a character trailer

Yes. Those suplexes looked painful to me.

Well I see WB’s logo so that gives me faith that we’ll at least get the DVD at some point next year.

Just watched it… fucking godlike. BATTOU-JUTSU NIGGA.

The movie is up on the interwebz.

yep you can now tor it. Awesome movie.

Could have played the part, without the mask.

I’ve even found a site where you can stream it. Warpticon had to come through with the better link tho.

This movie was awesome.

Saw a screening 3 weeks ago in LA.

This needs a US release to show Hollywood how to adapt an anime/video game/cartoon/whatever.

Also, the director and Sano actor had a Q/A afterwards. Apparently, stunts were done by the actors. No stuntmen.

Respect.

Do the filmmaking world a favor, and support this film with money if/when it gets released in the west.

For those of you who have seen the movie. There is still a remaining question i have about it.

Spoiler

That masked guy, was that Hanya or Aioshi? Of course at first glance, it’s like he’s Hanya but if you recall the Anime, Aioshi’s part in that arc was indeed major and Hanya did die from getting gunned down. I can’t read the credits to determine the character so does anyone know?

The movie was indeed one of the best i’ve seen in 2012, probably of the best comic-anime-cartoon adaptation made…however i do wish they inserted some of the classic kenshin songs in the movie just for the sake of nostalgia. This theme mostly

Hopefully the second movie will include Shishio, seeing how bad ass Jinai was in the movie (to be honest in the anime he was just so mediocre that it took me later on to discover that he was a major villain arc, i always thought the big bad guy of the 1st set was Aioshi).

Movie was fucking awesome. Looks like I’ll be going back to watching the anime again (I still have them all on DVD) sometime this week.

OP should post up some links to sites that sell the movie (Blu-Ray or DVD).

Loved the ova and I though that series was ok. I do want to see this movie.

Not sure if posting sites is allowed in this site.

He was random villian there to take up screen time just like the other cheesy monk looking dude. Zero plot relevance but it doesn’t matter since the movie has minimal plot.

To actually purchase the movie? :bluu:

Anyways I’m going to watch this again after work. :nunchuck:

I just finished it and I enjoyed all of it. Made Jin’ei dope as fuck lol. Saito was dope to see, as well. That knife fight villain was tight. I kinda laughed a little during the monk fight for obvious reasons.

the other villains in the movie i think was a mash up of certain characters, at first yup i did thought it was hanya and shikijo … (hell when the masked guy took of the mask, i thought he was enishi! since kenshin was somehow familiar with him and stating something like… “when we took you in…” also he mentioned something about the scar and c’mon white hair! need to watch it again though.) on some sites, theyre credited as gein and inui which we know being enishi’s henchmen… but the fact that they (gein especially) fought completely different, led me to believe that its just a mash up kind of like how jin-e took hiruma and aoshi’s role in the manga/anime

can’t wait for the sequel. hope this even becomes a trilogy.

I fucking adored Tsuiokuhen (one of my very favorite anime) but hated the anime series. This film reminded me a lot more of the anime series than Tsuiokuhen. Didn’t like it at all. It felt like the characters were too silly and the actors overacting. I’m not saying this is a bad film, however. Just certainly not my style.

Got a link, pm me those interested.

Havent seen it yet, maybe tomorrow i will.

That kenshin going akido scene was awesome…
