Thats actually the team I’m using, they can break 700.

I’ll try to handcam some of the cr.fierce stuff. None of that stuff in the vid is optimal at all.

cr. Fierce links after Wind Flash are very hard to do. I rather spend one ex meter for Juggle Combo into ~475 DMG (jumpin numbers) or do the Alter Ego HK finisher for 418 meterless and safe EX for b.MK~MK Groundbounce Juggle.

Experimenting with that stuff right now:

j.HP, s.HP xx Wind Slasher, c.MP xx EX Shuriken, cr.HP dashcancel, cr.HP dashcancel… - thats easier. Looking for a consistent 500+ Combo with one meter.

If you aren’t going to do the 500 damage combo I think you’re better off just doing raw cr.fierces and saving the meter. I think raw fierce loop does 444? 30 damage less than the ex shuriken combo but then you have meter for wakeup ex alter ego and for whatever your partner likes to do.

I’m usually saving ex shuriken for low hit confirms because cr.lk, st.lp feels 1 frame, and I’m bad at it. cr.lk, cr.mk xx ex shuriken is mad easy though and leads to solid damage.

had a hands on with raven yesterday damage output is amazing

main problem i had was confirming hits without a low attack so you find yourself jumping in alot if he has cr.lk cr.lp cr.mk raven will be sorted can any of you test it?

cr.HK and Throw do a Hard Knockdown, so you can’t Quick Stand afterwards. Ambigious Teleport Mixup is possible.

Example…
whatever into Windslasher, cr.MP xx EX Shuriken, j.HK, cr.HK - jump Back, late Air Shuriken, teleport, repeat.
Or after Forward Throw; Jump back, late Air Shuriken, Teleport.

Couldn’t land cr.HK after cr.HP Juggle…

He can do cr.lk st.lp cr.mk, the cr.lk to st.lp hit confirm is pretty tough, I think it’s harder than cr.hp after windcross for me because at least you can plink the cr.hp.

You can still roll which messing up a lot of this stuff.

Better to do ground shuriken anyways because it’s teleport cancelable and never crouchable, but you don’t have enough time after cr.hk to have this work too well anyways, you get blown up by wakeup roll.

Corner combos

j.hp, st.hp xx lp shuriken, cr.fierce loop x3, st.hp xx lk alter ego 475 damage

Doing ex stuff adds like 10 damage, not worth it in the slightest, but this is nice because you can’t do windcross stuff in the corner and the link is loose.

can you test if your cr.lk st.lp cr.mk combo works on crouchers really important screws alot up if this doesnt work fingers crossed

yeah st.lp seems to hit crouchers. All 3 people I tested it on it worked fine.

Redwolfx (really awesome Gen player) is tearing it up on a stream right now as Raven / Claw. Pretty good day-1 Raven stuff.

s.LP is gdlk for pressure and hit confirms - links 5 times into itself.

I just linked 7 st.lp’s on hugo, and 6 on ryu. It’s ridiculous.

st.hp followup to windcross is character specific

j.hp, st.hp xx windcross, st.hp xx ex shuriken, st.hp xx lk alter ego is 506 damage

replace the alter ego with super and it does 637, but it’s probably better to just go straight to cross art instead of the ex shuriken.

Hi guys! Got the game early and I’ve been playing a shit ton of Raven (with Guile as my second). I feel like Raven really benefits as an anchor character, because he can combo 2 - 3 cr.HP’s after a simple launch from your point character.

To maximize damage after a launch, do cr.HP xx windcross (qcb punch) dash cancel X2 then do st.HP into HK Alter Ego (qcf kick).

So: (as Guile in this instance) basic launch combo -> Raven comes in, then: cr.HP xx Windcross Dash Cancel -> cr.HP xx Windcross Dash Cancel -> st.HP xx HK Alter Ego (does 385 dmg). < and note, this is off a bare minimum ABC launch from your point character.

Same combo ending with an EX Alter Ego does less, 365 dmg.

And here is my go to BNB that does a fairly good amount of damage and is easily hit confirmable:

Crossup j.MK -> cr.LP x2 link into cr.MK xx HP Windcross (do not do the followup) -> catch them with st.LP so they juggle, then continue juggle with cr.HP xx Windcross Dash Cancel -> cr.HP Windcross Dash Cancel -> st.HP (and then juggle scaling occurs and you can do nothing else that hits). Alternatively, you can end this after the first cr.HP cancel with a st.HP xx HK Alter Ego (or whatever you want, could be a fireball [any version], windcross, etc.) or a cr.HP into a charged windcross. <- NOTE: After you do the HK Windcross, if they are in the corner it will not work most of the time (unless perfectly spaced by coincidence) so this is a midscreen only combo.

The beauty of it is you can replace the last st.HP with another cr.HP and then use MP+MK to call in your partner to continue the combo.

You always want to end juggles in LK Alter Ego over HK as HK has two hits and one of them will whiff unless you cut the combo short.

I’m tempted to make a combo thread but I’m kind of lazy… plus I’m not too great at threads in general, haha.

I dunno if this has been posted or if it’s needed since tech is already coming out but just in case some help to my Raven playing friends.

Here’s a combo that I was working on, seems to be the most damage I could squeeze out with one meter with a good punish

C.FP, dash cancel forward, S.FP, EX Ninja Star, Jumping FK, land, LK Slide Kick

Easier Execution than C.FP, dash cancel forward x 3, S.FP Slide kick but it will cost you a meter for about 20ish more damage. Plus it just looks stylish
