An observation: you sound like a catty bitch. I say this partially because I enjoy neither cattiness nor bitchiness, and partially because it’s ironic that a dude arguing so hard against a feminist talking point is such a catty bitch.
Anywho let’s skip the really fucking stupid part of your post about women not being lynched en masse for men’s supposed false rape accusations as if that’s even remotely worth anyone’s time and talk about what comes up a lot in these discussions: men, in prison, getting raped. Let’s say, for the sake of argument, that counting the prison population in North America pushes the number of male victims of rape above the female. We’ll found out in a moment that this means fuck all in the history of nothing, but again, sake of argument and whatnot.
There’s this problem we have in North America. Well, not just here, but it’s prevalent in the right-wing segments of our population. The problem is that people think longer jail terms reduce crime. Conservative politicians promise this all the time, because the voter base is really stupid in general and fails to realize just how ineffective longer jail sentences are compared to, say, addressing mental illness and poverty; the root causes of crime. Not just in the United States either; our illustrious Canadian ruling party, the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada, pedals this rhetoric, despite being actually progressive in a number of surprising ways for a party that gets to rule unchallenged for two more years.
This means we probably have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more people in jail than we should. And something men do in our jails is rape other men. Now, despite your whining (see: catty bitch, above) that I somehow feel these victims of rape don’t deserve justice or attention (putting words in my mouth, catty bitch style), I feel quite the opposite. No victim of rape should be ignored. Not a one.
However, this is what we call a complicated problem: outside prison, men are still doing most of the raping, but women become, by and far, the preferred target. If you have even a double digit IQ, you’re following along here: the prison population can’t be used as a model for how society outside jail is functioning. So when I argue that rape culture is a real thing, saying “more men get raped than women, if we count the prison population,” you’re really saying “I don’t understand what ‘culture’ means and think I can get away on a technicality by including a segment of the population that is removed from that culture, as if somehow, if we had less people in jail than we do, women getting raped wouldn’t be a problem.”
I hope this clears shit up because all I’m going to do if you respond with another eyesore of a moronic post is put you on Ignore, possibly post “I tried,” and go on with my life.
