well being that those examples are straight from women who are opponents of the rape culture phenomenom and are informing me of what they view as rape culture. no they arent bad examples at all. everything i said anddd that sentence go under the idea of rape culture. all of it. its such a broad umbrella term that it gets rediculous. i literally cant think a girls hot and actually tell her because i follow under this idea.
what people are missing one part of rape culture is this idea of protecting the asshole and shaming the victim. but the other part is the idea you can do something vague but it falls under the potential of being a rapist type of methodology. doesnt mean i’m a rapist but it has the potential to lead that way. Misgivings and a lack of ability to give consent are two completely different things. If a person is blackout drunk, they have no ability to give consent…lack of consent = rape. It’s cut and dry.
