Foxy Brown>Kim

If they came out with another Killer Instinct and it was actually really good, I’d come out of video game retirement.

Your basically saying Jay z > Biggie

yo some crack head hit me up on fb asking me for doe:

Not really. We all know hardcore was biggie performing in big mama/madea form… foxy only got coached an you really never heard of reference tracks or anything… also note his (jayz) influence was no where found on her first album. her lead single was the only inkling of jigga… that album was nothing more than trackmasters whom already were top of game giving her direction an def jam co-signing… jay was knee deep into reasonable doubt to even worry bout ‘guest’ or ‘coaching’ or ‘referencing’

Man…how you come into the Barbershop advertising another store (the VG music thread)…

Listening to that Jeezy (work pissed me off…hate when people “manage” IT and they don’t know anything “IT”) I actually like the way/direction this album has gone. All hood music, but not on that Flocka jump off the stage and mosh pit vibe

im done :rofl::rofl::rofl:

you should give TI’s new mixtape a spin then. Its like…early ATL music…just raw, no pop-ish and not crunk. I’m still floating thru it, but I think you might get a decent lunch out of it. ot nutritous enough for breakfast, but too heavy for dinner.

I scooped some Hyperfuses 2010 for $10 on vacay. iRock. I only brought three pairs o to NC with me though. Need to swap these Js out though so I don’t wear’em out. Ace we good for this evening?

  • :bluu:

lil kim >>> foxy…yeah she big was writing some of her shit, but she’s still spitting and has post-biggie hits…i can’t remember foxy brown song post-1998

Yea, I downloaded TI’s mixtape last night, need to transfer to my iPod. Will do that sometime…really just “blah” with music as of now. Yea, we still on for tonight, what you want to eat?

Did she even put out stuff after 98?

I’m in the ‘Broke Ninja Clan’ right now…so something cheap, preferably that isn’t red meet, and not smothered in cheese/creams…i.e. modertly healthy.

That was cool, too bad he didn’t explain where “Dreamer” came from.

Anyway, I heard the “Boss of all Bosses 3” is good anyone got it? Is it good?

Listening to Way too Gone by Jeezy…whoever did the mixing an mastering was having a blast! lmao… they really tweaked the beat soundwave for some parts an the fading an echoing of the bass was wow… very unique props to them.

I need a ‘best mixing’ award. The background people need more shine for the work they put in.

And Pharoahe Monch went off more on his one verse on Phonte’s album than on the entirety of his album.

And SMH at the album of the year list from HHDX. Just because an artist is respected or hot, doesn’t give them album of the years honors.

Watch the Throne? Really?
Ambition? Huh?
Pharoahe Monch? Meh, it was an average effort.

I understand this year was a bit ‘soft’ in the ‘real album’ department, but DAMN?!?!

Sour Patch Kid Edit - Yes, Common and The Roots respective albums are OVERRATED. Yes I said it. the Roots album is super coherent - but pure elevator music, especially with only 7-8 actual rap songs…its good, but it is NOT great by any stretch of the imagination. If you think so I got a Wale album to sell you. Common is muddled down with honestly ‘mediocre’ lyrics (by his standards admittedly) and un-memorable songs outside of the singles (Blue Sky/Sweet/Celebration). Neither album is bad, they are good, but they’ve gotten WAY more credit than they are truly due

Unreall’s questions of the day…

Why the blue berry maple syrup does French Montana have a record deal?
When on WSHH and I see random rap group with money in the name with a music video about making money/clubbing and I see 40k views…who’s actually watching?
Why hasn’t Beenie Sigel come at Meek Mill for the ‘Mr. Philadelphia’ stuff?
Whatever happend to the ‘ayeyayayayayayaya whodatwhodatwhodatwhodatwho’ guy? Homey that was a memeber of poison clan?
Why can’t Fabolous muster up the energy for a GOOD mixtape/album?
Why do people all of a sudden care about ‘2 Chainz’ when ‘Tity Boy’ was about as generic rapper as you can get?
Why even with YMCMB support, Mystikal can’t find relevancy?

  • :bluu:
  1. cause he hustled his way there…

  2. them and their friends and friends of friends an friends of friend who are cameo’d in the video…

  3. cause meek actually still hangs in the streets… not tryin to be funny he is spotted often (remember qrazy knows damn near all of philly) an beenie has fell off according to the atmosphere there… they give more love to freeway actually…

  4. jt money… heard he is actually chillin an may try to make a return wit trick daddy an a guy from teh 69 boys

  5. cause its him fighting him… note how he always tryin to murder someone on their song or mixtape but on his ish he loses focus

  6. cause 2 chainz was actually one of the originators of that ‘trap rap’… you literally have to go back to early ludas or hitman sammy sams joints

  7. he never will the moment he signed to YMCMB… he will generate the ‘where you been’ attention but thats it…master P an babys issues from the past has killed the ability to relate to any artist returning to the scene if you been away an havent done much…ask silkk… he dropped a mix tape…oh you didnt know?? yeah i know you didnt know lol
