Im looking foward to The Infamous Team EP(Mobb Deep,Infamous Mobb,Big Noyd).this joint is fresh, boom bap styled Mobb.Nothing like the Black Cocaine beats, this is honestly the hottest Mobb Deep joint in a hot min.Murda Muzik :
You know what naughty by nature was a bunch of thugged out niggas but they made some fun albums.Like they jammed hard and they were spitting.
a frat is really just a club and how “useful” it is to you is directly related to how much time you put it into it.
idk, g. i fuck with skinny white girls almost exclusively, but i’d be all over that ass.
u are not hip hop if u dont bump willie d,i think hes the GOAT rapper when it comes to being funny:

I guess the point im trying to make is that females are for the most part irrelevant to rap in the grand scheme so who really gives a fuck what lil kim did first? nobody is really trying to hear lil kim in this beef and she should just sit down.
edit: why does it have to be a female rapper though? do you think lil kim came up with her own video concepts? She didnt even come up with her own lyrics dude.
beefing is pointless all together now,we live in a time where nobody gives a care about skill, lyrics,or indivisuality.
Man its crazy cause you’re not the only one thats crapped all over UMD: CP engineering school. I go to Capitol College and the professors here go smack at UMD for not being as good in teaching certain Engineering classes.
its cuz of 50… they wanted to beef with him when we didn’t see it as a rap thing…
50 wasn’t down for the rap shyt but bank$ was annnd people didn’t listen to his stuff
I unno… music is trash, its all opinion at the end of the day.
beefing went from being lyrical to seeing if some1 was a ryder or not… and lyrical, and blah blah blah
if lil Kim didn’t matter then nobody would be trying to copy her style from bar structure to fashion, if you can call it that, to style of her videos, etc. and I’m not just talking about nicki either. I mean this bitch even copied her poses and all that. She’s only had like damn near every female that dropped after her copy her.
The only ppl not trying to hear what Kim would have to say about the above are ppl that couldn’t have been around during the bad boy era. Or had to be real young.
She has too many classic appearances, plat albums, a Grammy nod and win iirc, a classic debut and was a part of a movement -one of the best in hip hop, for ppl over the age of 25 to disrespect. It irks me to be honest.
and I understand that rap is a what have you done for me lately thing which also irks me but damn ppl shit on certain ppl or don’t even acknowledge the things they’ve done no matter how great they were.
Why is hip hop the only genre like that…?
Lastly, as far a female rappers being irrelevant in the grand scheme of things, I completely disagree. Lyte, missy, Kim, foxy, lauryn hill were ill. Give a damn if they never drop again it still won’t take away from what they’ve done.
last post before I get on the train. Promise lol.
niggas is bugging if they don’t think that lil Kim and missy changed the game and/or had a HUGE impact in the game.
If rock were like hip hop:
The Beatles? Who are they? Some washed up dead niggas.
Fuck is Joplin? Women are irrelevant.
Manson and those clowns don’t really worship Satan. Niggas fake son.
All Hendrix did was pluck on a guitar. Wow.
Lauryn Hill is still the female GOAT MC to me.
Cause HipHop is always evolving, more from Generation to Generation…maybe evolving isn’t the right term.
HipHop copies its self over and over again, like The Matrix, but it takes awhile for something “new” to be “remade”
Example, Lil Kim vs. Nicki
Lil Kim was doing the exact same thing back in the 90’s. She changed a bit in the 00’s and was less “loud”. Female rappers have less of a shelf life than males, so she went unnoticed for a number of years.
Insert Nicki, whom IMO is a copy of Kim, but us old heads have seen this song and dance before. Maybe 10 years ago, but we remember it. Newer generation probably either saw Lil Kim on her way to being unnoticed and never knew of her doing the color videos and being a sex symbol.
Problem is that Lil Kim still has (a small) voice and connections; unnoticed isn’t irrelevant. So when she comes out and says, “You a copy of me”; generation factors come into play. Mid twenties agree, younger don’t cause they don’t know. They automatically write off Kim cause of lack of knowledge. They don’t research, they don’t follow up they don’t take advice. Nicki doesn’t help cause she openly beefs with Kim instead of giving accurate props.
Well I’m not trying to crap on’em, but I went there for a year, and because of my advanced math I got to take engineering classes, and with my interest in the subject I talked with prof, spent more time there, etc…so its what I know besides where I actually got my degree from.
So I look at the oppurtuntites at UMCP…and then I look at what they had at MSU for Engineering AND CS…we had our own cray Supercomputer, I was part of a group that built a beowulf cluster (24-node)…and what stuck to me was that UMCP had the exact same program (it was funded by Nasa if I believe), but at UMCP - only Grad students could apply, let alone get in. At MSU? I was taking a programming class for my elective and because I was doubling at first in CS and engineering, the prof after our lecture and I talked a bit, she told me about, and bam…I was in…as a sophmore. So this school with TONS of resources (UMCP) wouldn’t let me ACCESS those resources unless I was on my second degree. GTFO. Same thing can be said wit the 3D visualization work I got to do, though I admit I backdoored that one, it was a PhD program that I got into because of who I was related to, and made a name for myself because of what I could do.
So to me, HBCUs don’t always have more resources, but the access to them is alot better…because they are labeled HBCU, companies like Nasa will give moneyt from programs and to pull talent from. UMCP is just big, well known, and respected…but not question the education I was able to get, and what I was able to do was leagues ahead at MSU - AND UMCP didn’t classify me as black because it was so friggin diverse…it def wasn’t a race thing/

actually she [nicki] did give props. i believe debs pointed that out when she first came on the scene… in fact i believe her first mixtape cover was a ode’ to kim. I just think Kim couldn’t accept being surpassed an simply becoming a OG an chillin back like my nicca King Latifah. Kim had other avenues but either failed or never took them seriously to have something outside the circle of rap. An when they didnt work, court issues, inner circle beef and the women of her generation were essentially gone she really had nothing so wanted to feel relevant somehow an in that she went at the ‘new generation’ kim which was a no no…
“the new generation only remember jodan when iverson crossed him…” - Joe Budden
It’s not hip-hop. Its black culture in general. We are typically temperamental and short memoried. I think that short memory leads to what you were trying to illustrate - the ‘remake’ of itself…but its really IMO just like fashion…everything thats hot now, was hot 25 years ago. Oh don’t forget what ninjas wore in the 80s…compare that shit to what ninjas wear these days. Not that far off otside of color. Even musical stylings fall into that - with the modern batch of MCs being rapid fire - something that grew in popularity - roughly 20-25 years ago.
Lil Kim verse Nicki…I actually diagree with most to some extent…both sides. She is a clone and isn’t. See Lil Kim didn’t wear ‘crazy shit’ to wear ‘crazy shit’. Peep the video for Crush On You…she wore shit that she thought was sexy and eyecatching, not purposefully crazy (thats more Missy’s lane). down to the infamous hanging boob dress - it was to be sexy or kinky. Minaj though? She’s wearing crazy colors and dressing weird to get attention PERIOD. Its not about being sexy. The best she’s ever looked to me was in that recent Birdman video where her outfit was pretty plain. But thats because she’s not trying to be a sex symbol anyore…and thats where they deviate…Kim had ninjas spreading roomers about her sucking off a bunch of dudes in a movie theatre then going to the hospital to gte a coke can of ‘nut’ pumped out her stomach… Nicki’s rumors are about her getting into domestic violence with her BF. This extends into the music too. For fuck’s sake I don’t evne know what Minaj is talking about 90% of the time, the other 10% she sounds like Eve on fresh crack binge. Lil Kim was typically talking about big dicks sucking dick stealing dick or riding dick.
So I understand the similarities, but I won’t call her a Kim clone at ALL at this point. Its like calling Wayne a Hova clone…sure at one point it was obvious he was biting, but it was a transition…I think she did the same thing…she first came in, started to play up the sex game because ninjas wanted to feel up on her…then stopped and went 90 degrees right.

Agree with you on that.
Lil Kim - Sexy (ish)
Nicki - Crazy?!
When a Nicki verse comes on…my express is above
Fair enough.
Budden is off on that one. When Iverson crossed Jordan, Jordan was on a 3-championship streak. Now if he had made a Wizards reference he may have a point.
not anymore.
