how many times have you listened to Saigons album? Upon my first couple spins I wasnt impressed… took a break off it… then came back to it and was blown away. Tracks like Believe It and Oh Yeah (Our Babies) are just amazing to me.

He’s gotten TONS of spins from me, and I give it a top 5 of the year, but I’d take Kendrick over the Saigon. Saigon as an emcee himself is good, but not great, there is nothing flashy about him - he’s like ‘Ryu’ in the rap game, he can hold his own, but nothing he does is best of the best…so it just doesn’t stick to my ribs like a Kendrick Lamar. Hell I think Ro4E is better. Doesn’t mean I’m firing shots at it. It took a while to grow on me as well, and wil lbe one of the like ten albums from 2011 that wil lget play in 2012.

I remember when Cassidys new album dropped I wanted to like it so bad… I gave it (checks iTunes play count) 18 consecutive fuckin spins … and alas … :sad:

That said, there’s also a whole lot of Italian in them, since a lot of Italians went to Brazil post-war, I believe, at least that’s what my family did.
