There are only 3 members from SRK that are in the church of Gibbs.I thought Gibbs killed it on “Slammin’”(featuring Juicy J).Cant wait for Gibbs and Alchemist’s album together.
i am done at this Al B Sure performance, his grunts is killing me:
^Rob Me a Nigga’s been my fav Gibbs verse/track since the day it came out.
Born in this world of tears but die laughin’ put that on my headpiece right above my casket, Still in the game my battery still lastin’ Bout to put some gas up in my caprice classic
earlier when he says (basically), “this dude is lookin’ too nice right now, I gotta kill him” I was like “SHIT THO!” and then tellin’ me I know nothin’ about “kidnappin’ and holdin’ a nigga’s whole family for ransom” was sick. I’ll be damned if this song ever sounds played out to me.
anyway, I’m on TM103 right now, a couple tracks in. starts off pretty nice with Waiting.
i still have saigon for my #1 and i dont think anything will change that for AOTY. I feel like if Jeezys “Real Is Back” tape was an album id have that in my top 5 too shrugs
Ludacris was pretty much spot on, no one has truly been ‘new’ since Big Daddy Kane.
When I think on it, no one is a ‘father’ of any style since then. The people/artist who seem that way are really just derivatives from multiple sources or amplification of certain aspects of the ‘originators’.
yesterday and this morning was Heltah skeltah…I still trip over “My gun pop niggas, one shot nigga/I run out of shelss and straight Ong bak niggas”…so much vet swag on that.
Saigon aint AotY for me in the slightest. Top 5 material - yes, tops…no. Especially when his best song in recent memory wasn’t even on the album cause the album was so old. I’m pretty sure at this point Game has had more rotation in my iPods than Saigon. Hell going off my nano, my most played artist
Bad Meets Evil
Kanye/Hov
Pusha T
Joell Ortiz
Kanye
Kendrick Lamar
Frank Ocean. shrug
it’s pretty hilarious that rick ross laughed at jeezy for having his album pushed and stated emphatically that his wasn’t getting pushed back…and now jeezy’s is hitting the streets and ross is pushed back to some time in the first quarter.
he made the comments in question on either the breakfast club or flex.
i’ve been steady bumping big tymers (big money heavyweight), funk flex 60 minute of funk (the first album with mob deep over wu, red and meth over shook ones pt 2, dat rae incarcerated scarface, so many others i can still listen to and miss my 15"s (should that be “15’s? 15” 's? shit looks weird). various project pat albums, ghetty green probably gets most play ofc. mob deep’s infamous never gets removed from my actual cd player but the flash drive is used for everything else, best shit for a car stereo imo (usb port).
other than the above mentioned and a few other misc albums here and there, i will listening to death metal but since this is the rap thread i’ll just leave it at that. haha…
edit: man big money heavyweight is such a great album, plus it’s got my all time favorite beat fresh ever produced (my life).
Simple beat good lyrics. Video reminds of The Real Slim Shady. I liked his last mix tape which I think was one of the best to drop this year.

how many times have you listened to Saigons album? Upon my first couple spins I wasnt impressed… took a break off it… then came back to it and was blown away. Tracks like Believe It and Oh Yeah (Our Babies) are just amazing to me.
