agreed 100%… I’ve always felt this way about banner, thats one reason i can’t listen to his music. He’ll preach on track one and track 2 will be about doing another dudes chick in the butt while he slangs brown from the house. Not only that anytime that dude was on the radio he’d preach this and that… and then go off and do something polar opposite.
Killer mike does this to, to some extent but he backs some of the stuff he say up a lil bit. He prob has the most common sense out the bunch…
Joe is a huge hypocrite too prob the smartest of the bunch… but that nigga just confused. Thats where his best music comes from tho, so more power to him
Depends what your looking for…real talk, his most balanced album is his first national joint - Mississippi. His best musically speaking and guest appearance wise would be his first joint - Them Firewater Boyz, not the group effort but it was a solo effort of his - had Fiend, Mystikal, Nore, Kamikaze, etc on there…the only downside to it was the sound quality wasn’t perfect, and some of the tracks haven’t aged well. After that his newest album I think is sonically his best, the tracks with minimal to no vocals - where the beat just breathes and sets the mood - shows exactly what music and arrangements are about, just some of the tracks are a bit overboard. what I find funny is that he took all of Nas’s last album and crammed it into like two songs. Outside of those albums, his catalog is - as a hardcore fan - admittedly weak, his second opus with “Crank It Up” on it was obviously rushed as it included OLD tracks from before he got signed to SRC, and tracks he had given to other artist, but it was petty entertaining if you hadn’t heard them before. He even admits the lable forced him to rush it due to the success of Mississippi. His album after that…well again…not bad…but none of the songs stand up to the testament of time, and rely entirely on guest appearances to carry them.
so mississippi and his last one? gotcha.
he’s one of the few dudes whose album i’d actually drop cash for (after listening to first of course) bcuz he seems like a real dude.
If It’s not Joe’s money I wonder was it Album Budget money? But I’ll never buy a chick who isn’t my wife a Benz let alone a hoopty. It’s like what Ghostface said “we just renting these hos we’re not there fathers”.It’s Joe’s fault tho now that I think about it why all his buisness is out there.Didn’t he do a whole song about that chick after she left him for another dude.LOL,that dude is probably driving his girl in the Benz Joe bought…The Great Escape it is
@DarkPhoenix:What song is that where David Banner does another chick up the squatter and sells her feces in shit bags from the house?I assume that’s what “slangin brown” is…lol
I never did get that DB video “All The Girls Get Down On The Flo” with KKK either, what he broke out of slavery just to throw thongs, sip out of pimp cups, and glyde across a park bench?
how is it joe’s fault that this decided to come at him on some feminine shit? homeboy sounds mad salty, while joe doesn’t and has actual figures to back up what he’s saying.
I agree with u,the dude from AD shouldn’t of aired him out in public like that.but Joe should ease off of putting all his problems out there, some dudes are going to take advantage and make fun of him. It’s like with Buddy Nasir, how Nas kept bringing up Kelis in some of his songs etc.Worshipping the chick almost.Whipped without a belt. Now there not together, and dudes having a good time making fun of him.Im not saying it’s right to make fun of someone on the ground but some will do it if you have your heart on your sleeve like that.
Turbo’s GOAT video is , where he impersonates all of the new rappers (Cory Gunz, Wale, Charles Hamilton, Big Sean, etc.) and spits a verse using their style. His Kid Cudi verse was hilarious!
Keep head bobbin with meeeee/
On this track, run it back, this is crack…Bobby and Whitney/
Lord forgive meeeeeeeeee…/
Plus, Turbo’s favorite rapper ever is KILLA, so he gets extra props.
A dude gives a shot out to his (then) wifey and he is worshiping her?? Come on srk…niggas be reaching like gary payton in this thread.

Unf I love me some lesbians. And Nikki got flow. You don’t know what flow is if you say she doesn’t.
You want to get your hands on “Them Firewater Boyz” also…just DL since you can’t find it in stores anyway. His joint with Devin the Dude is like a classic. Granted I fux with both of them so I could be biased, but I’m trying to keep it real about expectations…Mississippi and Greatest Story Ever Told, are the only efforts worth really investing time listening to beside Them Firewater Boyz, if you listen to the other albums, its because you just really like what you heard on those albums.
