Unreall’s BOLD statement of the day…
"‘Fuck Wit Dre Day’…shee-it, thats the best diss record ever. When was the last time you heard an obvious DISS track, that you could really party too? I mean there are better lyrical attacks and some tracks that are more personal or whatever, but that shit was a full blown single and diss track rolled into one track. And while I’m on that note ‘Nuthin but a G Thang’ is the definitive track to rep the West Coast. How you gonna be smoothe as fuckwhile hitt’em with the rapid fire delivery, then flippin some substance into a track…of course the kid from the music video is history…like this…hehe"

You ODing

That wasn’t obvious? Shit makes everyone wanna put in work. gets airsoft gun and babypowder in Pyrex

I hope Snoop and Em goes off on Detox. Xzhibit better hit it up too. What’s Xzhibit’s best LP? Does he have a classic?
he needs to come back.

as much as i scream the chronic a placed it number 1 on my all time list im taking it youve finally sat down and LISTENED thoroughly… i can say im proud.

I can give you a ‘best of’ list of Xzibit traccks to check.

I’ve been a fan of his for forever, I still rmemeber during the Stanklove tour, me and my boy Alex were like the only dudes in the crowd who knew all the lyrics to his old shit (I think thats how we ended up on te Xzibit DVd :cheese: )

I think 40 Days & 40 Nights is his best effort as an artist, tracks like “Focus”, “Recycled Assassain”, “3 Card Molly”, etc were all top teir and have aged extremely well. His best effort from an entertainment stand point would be “Restless”, while there were a few filler tracks, it banged pretty much through and through, the produiction was just spot on, and X did is thing. “Get Your Walk On”, “D.N.A.”, and ugh that track with Eminem lulz were all priceless and worth admission by themselves.

His other efforts are very ‘meh’. His first album didn’t age well at ALL. Paparazzi and the song to his boy are like the only saving grace. Man Vs Machine was meh, it was like he tried recreating Restless without all of Dre’s influence, and thus some tracks were disgustingly hot, there were a ton of filler tracks. Hell my fav track wasn’t even onb the album (Multiply Remix). The effort after that…the one with “Mean Muggin”, it was actually a damn good effort that I slept on, but it still pales in comparison to his top three. Solid production and solid creativity from X himself, unfortunatly it was prime “Pimp My Ride” time frame, so the lead single REALLY turned me off as it was an obvious shot to go ‘pop’. His last album Full Circle, prolly is my choice for third album. The production is an aquired taste as its heavily produced or aimed at Jelly Roll, so it has some knock, but some of the unorthadox sounds take getting used to to actually enjoy. The topics on there are some of the more personal ones, and “Thank You” has become one of my top three Xzibit songs if not my favorite. “Black and Brown” seemed like a real track to me as well, like just…real talk I guess. An extremly slept on album that was ruled out by many by the weak ass lead single, which is arguably one of the worst tracks on the album ( “Concentrate”…but that bitch had some woofer knock…not true King Kong…but like Mothra verse Godzilla).

 1. 40 Dayz & 40 Nights
 2. Restless
 3. Full Circle

Well its one of those like, lately I’ve been playing the fuck outa Dre…just struggling to find music atm that holds my attention…and I realized how hard I was jammin’ to that track…while…well dissing thhe fuck outta everybody. I can’t remember a diss track thats THAT entertaining on all levels. Like I can pull out “Jack The Ripper” by LL and go bonkers…but thats because I’m just built like that, but yo, my sister can get down to “Fuck Wit Dre Day”, that track is just too fuggin thorough to compete against.

My only issue with calling Chronic #1…there were several tracks which just didn’t age as well and really lag behind the rest…but can’t complain too much…that kid from the video Nuithin But a G Thang can legally drink now…that puts shit in perspective hehe…

concentrate,concentrate,concentrate.

i am so going to put that auto-tune app on my iphone.

are you talking about #1 as in GOAT album? if so, it’s not a discussion. doggystyle is the best/most timeless/whatever hip-hop album, period.

and that’s my BOLD statement of the day.

To me, Doggystyle was really Chronic v1.2…cut out some of the politics, insert more Snoop…so I’m not even mad at that shrug…though I hav ne’t really checked that album in a LONG Louisianna minute.

age well…???

let me throw a defense out there

first an foremost…in MY list its number 1

age well… are you taking every track and trying to see the length of time it can hold???

first up lets begin with production…cohesively LISTEN… dont go off that track by track shyt skippin around as most people do. Take that bitch and listen from begining to end…tell me what you hear… feel. then I want you to try to place yourself in the midst of the TIMELINE when it was released… what else was out and who else could survive during that time.

now then of the game changer that sunavahbitch did…from EVERY artist angle…EVERY artist angle that joint FORCED. i will repeat FORCED the INDUSTRY to adjust and live

adjust and live

the introduction and the door opener for a very young snoop… lets not throw the follow up doggystyle that basically destroyed the attention gain from any other coast. now lets actually look at the opening for every other artist from a young daz whom learned production to lady of rage… to the guest points of RBX and still reliable BUSHWICK BILL… people fail to actually pay attention an note this album was meant for the TRUE west coast OG the DOC

now… u sit an say tracks didnt age well…its a album to be ran front to back. back to the point at hand… look at how nothing but a g thing comes on…play the song RIGHT BEFORE IT n watch how the song is mixed down wit the drop… pay attention the the buffer point of little ghetto boy… what about the skit included??? this is NOT a album to go off that track for track shyt cause like a masta ace album this is a album that must be place front to end. now if you hard bent on your ways of ‘track for track’

name a album that does that???

none

cause everyone will be picky but when you look at how the album was DONE… at how that album effect numerous albums afterward an set the stage for legends in the game…come on. not it DOESNT have to be YOUR NUMBER ONE nor anyone else…but PLEASE dont go off that track for track shyt. that tell me you did nothing but put the album on ‘random’ an went track 4, 9, 12…etc. or certain songs just came up in the ipod.

age well… that shyts fine fuccin wine

So lately i’ve been listening to old albums that i never listened to all the way. Two of them today being Beg For Mercy and Phiadelphia Freeway and man do i feel stupid for never going out of my way to listen to these albums. I seriously enjoyed listening to them from beginning to end.

The Hunger For More was straight heat. Bangers all the way through. Fuck hataz.

Philadelphia Freeway was a CRAZY debut album. It just further highlights that Just Blaze is easily Top 5 as far as producers are concerned.

You should check out Freeway’s second album if you like the first one. It’s a great follow-up.

The Passing comes out tomorrow!
