Been listening to the Jake One/Freeway joint. It’s pretty good. I was mad on one joint, track five. It alternates between two loops. The main loop is whatever, but the break down, where it’s like aah, doo, doo, doo (ninja is making sound effects), aah, doo, doo, doo was cold. I wish someone would use that as a regular beat.
And I don’t think Def Jam know what it’s doing. Like the album is called Wu Massacre…they got these murder mystery teasers, the Chris Bachalo-like dark artwork (it might be him)…you get to the album…disappointing mixtape.
Artists like Wu-Tang, Dr. Dre, Snoop, Ice Cube…don’t need the labels (except for maybe the radio penetration). They have a loyal fan base.

He ended up getting the current beat from Just Blaze after Ghostface turned it down. Imagine what Ghost could have done to that beat…
