i really wonder why people didnt the same in 4.
it worked the same way as in 5 but i barely meet any rage quitters there.
i think one of the reasons is that there is no bp points/ranks anymore.
majority of people cared more about to level up that instead of the pp
to rank up with their char to a certain rank and go on from there or start
new with a new one. a loss didnt hit you that hard and with enough patience
you could level up to b/a pretty “easy”.
now people have just lp which, especially with the wonky matchmaking system,
can be lost very quick so people focus way to much to holding them even when it means they have to rq.

I’ve heard that there is a way to quit at a specific time that will make it not show up as a disconnect to the other player, but still avoids losing points by not sending the results to the server. I would try to search for the method but I wouldn’t know how to search it without being flooded with tens of thousands of posts about standard rage quitting. But until I see proof to the contrary, I’m not going to assume that former rage quitters all cleaned up their act and are now getting their points legitimately.
