A lot of players I noticed have stopped playing rank matches all together, like myself they tend to get to gold rank and call it a day, because you know from that point RQing is going to get even worse, as gold + rank players ain’t gonna wanna drop down in rank if you beat them. The game is potentially ruined until Crapcom sort it out!
Blackken is a pro rage quitter and still not in this list. I posted a video . He has done it to me at least 3 times and I know other ppl that has the same issue with this guy

Super-gold, would’ve been my rankup. I hate that I’m going to have to record all of my matches now just because of how bad people are at this game.
What kind of solution is available to Capcom to minimize the frequency of rage quitters? Has anything been proposed/discussed by Capcom other than to dock points from the player?
It would be nice to see players with a certain “disconnect frequency” over a certain moving timeframe being banned from ranked for a certain number of days.

The whole situation is simply ridiculous now. Capcom need to take drastic measures when it comes to this. Their current fix and/or relying on videos isn’t going to fix the problem. Reading the match at various points to see who is winning would be preferable so that you don’t need to wait until the match is over before uploading results to the server. It would create more load but they could handle it.
They just need to see who is still connected at the end of the match or after a disconnected match and give the win to the person remaining. If your internet is so bad that you end up losing tons of LP, you kind of deserve it since you are giving other players a shitty experience too often. Maybe if they want to be nice about it, the first Rage Quit you do in a certain period of time, you lose nothing but the other player still gains. Then the next one you lose half, then full, then double etc. If it is all done within a certain period of time or number of games.
It’s easy peasy to detect rage quitters, Capcom is just Capcom’ing as usual.
Considering even SF4 had a better ranked system that could identify rage quitters with clear disconnect %'s on their “player data” option, you have to question how the fuck they took steps backwards in preventing this issue. Like people expect to believe nobody at Capcom HQ, with qualifications and experience in game design etc didn’t think to themselves “Having no penalties for forfeits seems like a bad idea…we should fix this.”
Fucking laziness and incompetence. The issue has ruined the ranked ladder, try earning points past ultra silver/gold. I’ve been stuck just below 4000lp for the longest time because I CAN’T FUCKING EARN ANY LP.
