This is a message to anybody who has quit on me, and anybody who is trying to defend their rage quit excuse:
For the record - I have not once ever pulled the plug on anybody, even if the connection is bad/teleporting or whatever. But I will still take the loss of LP if I end up losing. I’m down from 3500 back down to 2800 - because I take all losses, even under the most BS connections.
Fact of the matter is, if you rage quit on somebody about to deliver the killing blow - regardless of your excuse being a bad connection or whatever, it’s classed as a rage quit, and expect to be publicly shamed or punished by the Capcops. If you don’t want to deal with the match, you have 2 options - throw the match and let them beat you, or try and fight under the bad conditions. After all, if you claim not to care so much about LP and climbing the leaderboards, you wouldn’t quit right? You also wouldn’t quit if you knew that you wouldn’t get caught or punished immediately. Imagine if Capcom started introducing the ban hammer, so that you couldn’t enter ranked match-making for 30 minutes or 2 hours for quitting one too many times.
Another thing, whilst the matchmaking is still not perfect, here’s another question. Did you set the battle settings to the following settings?
Connection Status: 5 only
Battle Confirmation: Ask
If you haven’t, you have no defense against your rage quit excuses. Think twice before you start whinging about being reported on this thread. It would save you a great deal of embarrassment. In the meantime, let’s just put some faith into Capcom that they will address the netcode issues. But in the meantime, stop pissing people off with your quitting antics and man up with your losses. If you feel somebody didn’t deserve to rank up, let the other players in the upper leagues make that decision - if they didn’t, then they’ll send them back down again. Pretty simple.
Just a question, but if someone ragequits just as he loses because it was kinda laggy, is it still frowned upon or is it a legit (using the term very lightly) reason?
I played against a guy named ‘pizzadiddle’. Does this qualify as a ragequit? Opponent was close to dizzy on 2nd round, I still had full health too. https://www.twitch.tv/ignti0n/v/53721079?t=22m33s
P.S. I apologize for the horrible mic.
Eh, I’ve had 3 bar wired connections out perform 5 bar wireless connections when playing with friends. I do keep it to 4-5 bars, but the minute someone is on wireless, it’s painfully obvious with the all the teleporting they do.
To me if a guy plays after the first round in a laggy match, then he acknowledges that he’s willing to go all the way. If at anytime he pulls the plug after that, I classify it as a rage quit.
We all know he would have taken the win if he won in a laggy match.
